Chapter 33- A Fairy-tale come true

(edited)

I flung the door open and ran out with a bright smile on my face. I was ecstatic I couldn't wait to tell him, so I ran down the spiral set of stairs as people stared curiously at me because I was the only idiot running down the hall whereas others were casually walking in a sophisticated building as this. Yes, some even sneered at me for my lack of professionalism but I didn't care because I don't work here, well not yet. When I came to the lobby I dashed towards the exit as I dodged people in their smart attires, I was glad I opted out for my grey professional pants and flat shoes so I could easily run.

Once the sunlight shined down on me I knew I was only few seconds away from telling him the good news. I saw him leaning against his car with his arms folded casually v neck black top and jeans. I ran towards him, when he saw me coming he removed his sunglasses and held his arms open for me.

"I got the job!" I screamed in excitement before jumping into his arms.

He twirled me around as I clung onto him with my legs wrapped around his waist and my arms held tightly on to his shoulders. "I knew you would get it, didn't I tell you before you went to the interview?" He smirked at me as he caressed my cheek with his soft fingers.

"Yes you did." I smiled. I leaned forward and smashed my lips onto his as my hands slid into his hair. Once I was satisfied with the lovely kiss I moved away and looked into his dreamy blue eyes, "That was my way of thanking you." I whispered softly.

"Thank you for what?" He raised his eyebrow in confusion.

"You know for a being an awesome boyfriend."

"I just get a kiss for being an awesome boyfriend?" He asked with a pout.

"Don't push your luck." I teased pulling his cheeks.

"Don't worry I will give you more than a kiss tonight just to express how awesome you are." He winked at me. I gasped before hitting him on his arm. "Actually we got some time now how about I show how amazing you are." He held me tight against his body.

"You know I would love to but we have to get going the girls are waiting." I whispered softly as the words came out of my mouth on their own accord. What I really wanted to do was rip Ethan's clothes right here and right now. When he stepped back I wanted to protest but I knew if I did we would be very late and the girls will embarrass me all evening because nothing could goes past them.

When we got into the car I switched on some music to fill the silence between us as Ethan concentrated on driving.

"Myra."

"Yeah?" I glanced over at Ethan.

"I've wanted to ask you this for so long but I never had the right time to ask. Why haven't you dated until now?" He asked glancing at me to see how I would react.

"Oh," That was the only thing that came out of my mouth; I just didn't expect him to ask me that question. Once I recovered I told him honestly, "Well I never had anything against going out or anything. One day when I found out my best friends boyfriend was a jerk, I really don't want to go into any details but, I promised myself I will not rush into dating any guy I will wait until I find the right guy I know who will protect me and value me."

"Don't worry I won't ask for any details." He said with concern etched on his face.

"Thank you." I said with a sad smile as I remembered the day crystal clear in my head.
