Chapter 30- Letting Go
(Edited)
"Well look who decides to come home." I heard Sally snicker as soon as I came through the door.
I ran my fingers through my hair before I said, "I am sorry for not texting or calling..."
Leah interrupted, "Chill, we knew you were with Ethan so we didn't really worry about you because we knew you were in safe hands."
I stood there not knowing what to say so I just muttered, "Okay."
"Well what Leah meant was we knew you were in safe hands." Holly winked at me, "If you get the drift."
I felt my face heat up due to her words, "Erm, I-I," I twitched nervously as I stuttered, trying to convince my brain and body to calm down I am sure they can't tell that I wasn't a virgin anymore. So I tried again to utter some words out of my mouth, "I-I I'm going to change my clothes." I muttered nervously as I started to walk fast towards my room.
"Hold up, are you wearing Ethan's clothes." Sally asked in shock.
I gulped before turning around slowly for the girls to blink in surprise, "Why did I not notice that?" Holly asked disappointed.
"Oh this," I laughed nervously as I ran my hand down my (or shall I say Ethan's) top, "Well cause I was tired I slept at Ethan's place so he let me change out of my black filthy dress so I could sleep comfortably."
"Oh." They spoke together still in shock
"Well let me get out of this." I said quickly before slipping into my room and making sure I locked the door. I leaned against the door trying to calm my beating heart when I felt better I jumped on my bed lying still looking up at the ceiling as my hair fanned around me. I couldn't help but smile like an idiot as I reminisced the morning I had with Ethan. His kiss, his touch and his words made me feel as beautiful as he made love to me. As soon as we had finished I remember cuddling up to him and falling asleep in his arm, it was the first after a long time that I had felt well rested. Even though I had enjoyed every second I still don't know where I stand with Ethan. When we woke up from our small nap he had cooked us a meal. We had laughed and joked around while we ate but there was no mention of what we are, are we a couple? No cause he hasn't asked me to be his girlfriend. Was this a one off? Maybe it seemed like that because he had the morning and the afternoon to say something but he didn't. The smile that was plastered on my face moments ago faltered slightly when the idea came into my mind.
I decided rather than over thinking like I usually do I will just let things go the way they are meant to. I got up from the bed and changed into my clothes making sure I folded Ethan's clothes neatly and settled them in my closet before going out to the living room.
"I know it's hasn't been that long but I can't help but look at my phone every few seconds." I heard one of the girls groan. I walked in to see Sally and Holly consoling Leah that Sam will get in contact with her as soon as he can. I sat down on the sofa between Leah and Sally "Don't worry Leah I saw the way he was looking at you so I know for sure that he will ring you." I gave her a cuddle. Leah just nodded in agreement.
"Myra, would you like to fill us in with what we missed?" Holly asked with a smirk.
I felt my cheek heat up, "Er-I-I nothing." I stuttered.
"OMG! Something did happen, look at the colour of your cheeks." Holly laughed as she pinched my cheeks.
"Oh please do tell!" Leah pleaded.
"Erm I-I"
"Oh stop stuttering." Sally rolled her eyes at my behaviour.
"Did you and Ethan do the nasty?" The girls laughed at Holly's so called sarcasm. I couldn't help but hide my face behind my hands as I tried not to show my embarrassment. Due to my behaviour the girls stop laughing at once as they looked at me curiously before Sally shouted in shock. "You did do the nasty!"
