Ch 33

'Luna

I ran, I ran for all that I was worth, ignoring everything around me. I pushed myself, panting and gasping as I struggled for air; I jumped over a tree root and stumbled slightly. It was dark, I could barely see anything. I was freaking out, what the hell happened back there? Those skeletons...

Something within me is changing and I don’t know what, it’s like there is two paths for me; the light and golden path of good and the dark and sinister side of evil. It’s like I was slowly learning towards the darker side...and there was nothing I could do about it.

I was exhausted, I don’t know what had happened to those skeletons after I ran, I really didn’t care too, I just wanted to get away from there. A man was killed...at my hands, sort of.

My head was no longer paining and I don’t know why it did In the first place. The ripping that took place, I have never felt such pain before in my life, it truly was bad.

Still running and pushing myself forwards, I brushed a few tree branches out of my face; I fell over a rock and face planted into the ground. I was so exhausted, from everything the emotional as well as the physical strain I have been put through.

I just wanted to fly.

I just lay there, catching my breath. The ground was cold and hard, the grass and twigs poking me, I sighed. Just to make matters worse, it started to rain and it wasn’t a nice drizzle type of rain. No. It was like a freaking storm and I was caught in the middle of it.

How lovely.

Fatigue caught up with me, I just lay on the floor. My mind aching, the grass I lay underneath, slightly comforting in a weird way. The trees above me enveloped me, like a cave almost the sunlight steaming through, bits of it catching the ground before me, illuminating it. Unfortunately one of the rays of sunlight just happened to be on my face. So I stood up, if not reluctantly.

I had slept on the forest ground, the skeletons didn’t arrive yet, maybe that had dismantled and gone back to the ground? Stretching slightly I heard a crunching noise. I whipped my head to the side, what I saw scared me to my core.

White hair...silver eyes. This boy seemed so familiar, I looked at him and our eyes locked. He had a glint to his eyes, was that one of hunger?

“Who are you?” I asked, slowly warming up my hands. He didn’t answer me but instead looked behind him and out walked a cream horse.

I fell backwards, my eyes wide.

From my dream! This boy was from my dream! The one I had with Amorfia in it, with the two other boys. I crawled away from him, he made a noise with his mouth. Like a nicking one and another horse walked out.

It was black, green mist swirled around it. I felt sick, my eyes met with the horse and I felt a pull. Like a connection, I wanted to be near the horse. It was calling me.  I got up and slowly started walking towards the horse. Its black eyes drawing me in. I felt compelled, this horse belonged to me and I wanted it.

My feet had a will of their own as they carried on, the boy watched me with a sort of smug look on his face.

A small part in my brain told me not to go near the horse, not to touch it, that something bad will happen, but yet again the bigger part of me wanted that horse.
