Chapter Five
Party- Part One
Jayden's POV

The party was a success—just like I knew it would be.
The music pounded through the house, loud and unapologetic. It was probably obnoxious, but I couldn't care less. My neighbors already knew the deal. My parties weren't exactly rare, so they were used to it by now. And if any of them had a problem with it, they knew where to find me—but I doubted anyone wanted to start that conversation.
The air was thick with the smell of liquor and weed, a combination that seemed to hit harder as the night went on. People indulged shamelessly at my parties, which was fine by me. That's what they were here for. We'd made sure there was enough food to keep everyone happy—pizza, wings, chips, and other snacks scattered across the kitchen island and out by the pool.
Speaking of the pool, it was a scene in itself. Half the guests were out there, running around in their underwear, dripping wet from cannonballs and drunken dives. The rest were dancing, laughing, or passed out in random corners of the house. As long as no one broke anything, I didn't care.
A couple was making out against the wall just a few feet away from me. Judging by the way their hands were all over each other, they'd be sneaking upstairs to fuck in a minute or two. That didn't bother me either. My only rules? Don't trash my room, and throw your damn condoms in the trash.
Hell, I planned on getting some tonight, too. With so many drunk, sexy, and willing women in one place, the only problem was figuring out where to start.
I leaned against the wall in the living room, red solo cup in hand, already tipsy from the line of shots I did with the boys. The room swayed slightly—not enough to make me stumble, just enough to remind me I was tipsy. I sipped from my drink, watching the chaotic mix of drunk dancing, loud laughter, and carefree chaos unfold around me.
Yeah. This was my kind of night.
A cute girl walked by, and I didn't hesitate to grab her wrist. She's tall but that never stopped me. I still towered over her. Besides, she has amazing legs.
She turned to me with a playful smile and leaned in close. "Hey," she said, her voice husky in my ear.
I smirked, pulling her into me. Turning her around, I let her move against me as we started dancing. Her ass wasn't much to write home about, but she knew how to move it. Her body is hot—slim build, okay curves, maybe B or C cup boobs, and straight brunette hair that framed her face in layers. I couldn't tell you what color her eyes were, and honestly, I don't really care. I can vibe with her for the night...
We danced for a while, her slim body pressed against mine, and I figured it was time to take things up a notch. I spun her around, ready to seal the deal. The plan? Kiss her neck, whisper something smooth and dirty in her ear, and give her no reason to resist my charm. All I have to do is be myself and she'll initiate the next step. Which will undoubtedly be to go upstairs to my room. The plan is fool proof... and it worked every time.
But, of course, that didn't happen.
As soon as she was about to kiss me, she stumbled to the side, someone had bumped into her. How the hell that even happened, I don't know—but when I saw who it was that caused it, I felt my blood pressure spike.
Rose.
And Ryan.
Ryan was standing there with his white shirt drenched in a red liquid. He glared down at the stain like it personally offended him. The girl I'd been dancing with wasn't spared either—the same red liquid had splashed all over her too. She let out an exaggerated huff, stomped her foot like a bratty kid, and stormed off without another word.
