Toby's Point of View

I woke up in my bed. Nothing strange going on, just Cass by my side sleeping like a rock-a very cute rock. I looked at my iPhone for the time-2:33 p.m.. I groaned also earning a groan from Cass.

"Babe, wakey, wakey, I didn't make eggs and bakey. . ." I said into her ear making her sleepily giggle.

"What time is it, love?"

"Around 2:30."

"Holy crap, we are lazy buscuses." she laughed. Her laugh was perfect. I leaned in to kiss her but her hand blocked my kiss, "Morning breath is not a good flavor, Tobes." I chuckled lightly at her blunt comment.

"Fine, let's brush our teeth together," I grabbed her dainty hand pulling her from under the covers revealing her bare body. We both didn't have much on. . . Okay, nothing on. She squealed as she quickly grabbed a blue Tobuscus tshirt and panties from my floor. I did the same but also put pajama pants on. "Sorry. . ." I laughed as she gave me the stare of doom death.

We brushed our teeth together and I couldn't help but laugh at the fact that Cass had a blinking, red, light saber toothbrush.

"What?" she mumbled whilst brushing her teeth. I just laughed harder and in the process, I got toothpaste all over myself.

"Awe, c'mon! God dangit!" I yelled at myself causing her to break into a fit of uncontrollable laughter. Since she was smarter than I, she leaned over the sink, letting the foam fall.

"Shaddup!" I giggl-men don't giggle-chuckled like a man.

After we cleaned my the mess, we took a shower that may or may not have been together.

Once we were done, we got dressed. I was taking Cass out on a little date since it wasn't the usual, boiling hot, Los Angeles weather. It was absolutely beauitful out for early January.

I had on my white, dress shirt and brown, wool pants; I didn't really have a keen fashion sense. Most of my wardrobe was Tobuscus tshirts.

I was trying to fix my untamable hair when Cassie walked into the room. She was wearing a strapless, orange-red-pink, I dunno, coral? dress that was flowy and had swirlies of white throughout it. She looked stunning. I'd never seen her in a dress before.

"Uhm, Tobes?" she said. I must've been staring.

"U-uh. . . Cass, you look. . . Beautiful," I stuttered. She just looked down at her cute, obviously interesting, white sandals. "Shall we go?" I asked as I stuck my arm out for her to loop hers around and she did so.

We arrived at the not so crowded park, hand-in-hand, skipping and singing the Wizard of Oz. We were an odd couple but I enjoyed it. A lot.

"You want ice cream, babebuscus?" I asked and her brown eyes lit up like a camp fire.

"Yes! Can I has a Batman shaped one?" Cass questioned hopefully. She looked so adorable. I couldn't help but laugh a little at her childness. I kissed the tip of her nose.

"Of course, cutie." I walked off to the nearby ice cream booth-thingy. I looked at the man who was serving the tasty treats.

"What'll it be, sir?" he asked kindly.

"May I have a Batman and a Ninja Turtle? Please and thank you!"

The man handed me the ice creams, "That'll be $3.50, sir." he smiled.

I handed him a five dollar bill, "Keep the change, man." I bidded him farwell and made my way back to my girlfriend. She was smiling up at a tree, "Whatcha looking at, babe?"

"Those birds. . . They look so happy. . . Their baby just hatched. It was beautiful. . ." It wasn't until then that I noticed she was crying.

"Cass. . ?" I slowly moved over to her. "Baby, are you okay?" she didn't say anything. She just put her face in my chest, crying harder. I moved her carefully over to the bench behind us and gave her the ice cream she'd asked for.

"Thank you, Toby. . . I'm an emotional mess. . . It's just. . . I still can't believe it happened and everytime I see a baby I cry. I can't help it. It makes my heart ache. . ."

"Hey now, shh. . . It's okay, Cassie. You have all the right to be sad. But, just remember you have me." I whispered to her.

"For how long?" she asked her long bangs out of her eyes.

"Forever and always." I stated confidently.

"Really. . ? Pinky promise?" she stuck out her pinky, weakly smiling at me.

"Yes, really. I pinky promise you." I kissed her forehead. "C'mon, let's go home, Cass. We can watch The Nightmare Before Christmas if you want!" I smiled widely as she hugged me tightly around my waist.

"I would like that very much, buscus." she smiled up at me and pulled away. I grabbed her hand. "I love you."

"I love you, too, Cassie." I said as we walked home.
