"So," he smiled as she sat in front of him in the bath. The bubbles reached their necks and his hands held hers as his lips travelled across the soft skin of her neck,

"Snow," she laughed,

"Well it makes me happy... I get to keep my favourite girl here for longer,"

"Connie," his nieces squealed and Ellie smiled, hugging Jacob before doing the same to Connie.

"I'm so sorry to do this,"

"It's fine," Connie smiled,

"It's not... Not when you haven't seen each other for a while,"

Connie picked up Paige, "say bye to your mum and we can go and make some hot chocolate,"

Ellie said goodbye to the girls, "thank you," she smiled again,

"Don't worry sis, you go and save some lives."

He watched her as she chased the girls outside in the snow. She reminded him of how she looked in Sweden and he smiled as she ushered them in, removing coats and gloves and scarves.

He made them a warm drink, watching how Paige sat onto Connie's lap. He handed Connie her coffee and leaned forward, kissing her lips gently,

Connie got up from the sofa and moved over to where he sat. She smiled, curling up beside him and leaning against his chest. He ran his hand through her hair and she pressed a soft kiss to his neck,

"You tired?" She asked quietly as they watched the film that the girls were so enthralled with,

"Someone kept me up half the night," he smiled, his lips against her hair,

"Well you better get some sleep now..." She smiled, "I plan to do the same tonight."

She looked at him innocently and he laughed, watching as she snuggled back into him to watch the rest of the film.

"You know, cooking is much harder with you wrapped around me Miss. Chase," he smiled, running his hands over her forearms gently,

She raised an eyebrow and stepped back, before slipping up onto the work surface,

He turned the food down to simmer before stepping between her legs and slipping his arms around her waist. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and kissed his temple, enjoying the comfortable silence.

"Has Ellie always been a single mum?" She asked and he shrugged,

"Their dad is around here and there... But he often let's them down,"

"You've all done a good job with them," she smiled and he kissed her lips,

"You're good with them you know... Makes me think about our future?"

She raised an eyebrow, running her hand up and down his neck, "you want kids?" She asked him, her hands how running across his cheek,

"Yes," he smiled, "do you?"

She nodded, "Michael didn't... I was beginning to think I couldn't be a mum but I..." She shrugged, "I certainly wouldn't be against carrying your children that's for sure,"

"You're having a baby?" Paige asked and Connie smiled as Jacob took her hand and squeezed it,

"Not quite yet sweetheart,"

He kissed her forehead gently, his heart rate increasing at the fact that she was willing to be a parent with him,

"This isn't too much?" He asked kindly,

She held onto his shirt tightly, "no," she admitted, "no, I want a life with you..."

She lay naked across his chest and he ran his hand up and down her back,

"You know if I had my way, you'd never wear clothes again,"

"Why does that not surprise me,"'she laughed quietly,

"So when do we get to do this again?" She asked and he couldn't help the way his smile spread across his face,

"When are you next off? My shifts are probably easier to change than yours,"

"I have four days off in three weeks time," she told him, "you could stay with me... If you wanted?"

"If I wanted? Of course I want to stay with you,"

She relaxed into him, "remember the first time we had sex?" She asked and she felt him nod,

"I felt so alive and so safe and excited," she took his hands as they skimmed her stomach,

"I thought that maybe it was due to the fact we were relaxed and on holiday but I know now that it was purely down to you,"

"What I said at the airport...I meant it... I love you Connie."

She moved her head so she could breathe him in, her lips pressing gently against his skin, "mmm... I love you too."

"You're quiet this morning," he told her, snaking his arms around her waist and kissing her neck.

"The snow has gone... I have to go home," she told him quietly, "this feels even worse than when I had to leave you at the airport,"

"Not going soft are you chase?" He teased as he lifted her onto the work surface,

"You certainly aren't," she grinned as she felt him pressing hard against her,

"I love you," he whispered against her neck as she groaned.
