"Why Al'Aeen? Did it seem to you like I was stopping?"

"No, because that would actually be nice of you. Don't you guys have cars?"

"Cars?"

"Where the hell did I get myself to? Like a metal box with wheels and an engine to make it move? You can put people and things inside?"

"You mean a horse drawn carriage?"

"You don't have cars?"

"We do, but we call them horses, not engines."

"I KNOW WHAT A HORSE IS!"

"Why are you yelling? Calm down, please! You are scaring the baby!"

"It's my baby! I'll do whatever the hell I want!"

"No, honey! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to yell, please stop, please?"

"Ok, that is the first time that worked. Honestly!"

"Al'Aeen, why are you underestimating her?"

"What do you mean? She is a one-year-old!"

"Maybe on your world. From my observations so far she looks and acts like she is closer to 2, maybe even three. I wouldn't be surprised if she understands more than half the things we say."

"...mole!" E seems to confirm what Umani says.

"No way!"

"Looks like her father is the only one with adaptation difficulties. By the way, many generations ago, there was a great war and nothing electrical has worked ever since. I assume your engine involved electricity? So no, we have no cars."

"Engines are mostly run on combustion, but yeah, there is electricity involved. Still, couldn't we have taken a horse-drawn carriage?"

"Why, so you can rest your pretty little legs like an old man?"

"Yes! I mean no! What the hell, man?"

"Only old folks and children use the carriages. And yours has you to carry her, so I see no point. Too bad you can't shift yet, this would be a lot faster."

"What is it with you and your obsession with me shifting? I'm not a shifter, or a were, or anything else but human!"

"Are you nuts? Arrived where? There is absolutely nothing here!!! Have you finally lost it, old man?"

"Sheesh! I won't even ask about Jesus then. Another by the way, is that the higher powers we refer to on Calla are the Two Moons."

"You have two moons?"

"Yup!"

"So strange? You keep saying that. Put E down and start digging."

"What? Where?"

"By that rock, 3 feet to the right."

"With what?"

"I don't care really."

"Can you at least tell me why?"

"So we get to the entrance."

"To your new home."

"Seriously? Underground cave? What are you, batman?"

Two hours later Al'Aeen finally finds something other than sand.

"Got a rock here."

"Good. As soon as you expose it completely, you are done."

"Gee, thanks."

"You're welcome."
