Carrie followed Harrison in the house with Adam in her arms. When he stepped aside, she was surprised to see her parents, his parents, Todd and Terrance all gathered in the living room. And hanging in the kitchen was a little banner that read, 'welcome home Adam.'

"Did you..."

His smile gave it away. "Harrison! You didn't have to!"

He strode over to her, taking Adam. "Yes I did. And you know they all wanted to see little Adam again."

"Fair enough."

Harrison handed Adam to the rest of the family. They all got excited when he opened his eyes and smiled. Adam made his way with the rest of them to the couch as Harrison popped open a bottle of red wine. He poured some into two glasses.

Carrie leaned against the kitchen counter as he pushed over a glass. "You know, I probably shouldn't drink right now."

He took a sip of wine. "Come on sweetheart, it's just one glass."

"You say that now."

"Please."

"Alright. Just one glass."

They toasted. "To our son."

Then Carrie took a sip of wine along with him. "You know, I've missed this stuff."

"See? I told you."

"Oh shut up. I've been pregnant for the last nine months."

"Excuses, excuses," he teased.

Carrie bit her lip, about to push him, when he caught her arms and pressed his lips against hers. She was caught off guard by the kiss, backing into the kitchen counter as he deepened the kiss. "Hey!" She muttered, interrupting their kiss to push his hands away from her waist.

"What's the matter?" He wondered, teasing her with a neck kiss.

"Stop it Harry," she giggled. "There's a time for this. And it's upstairs with the door closed, preferably when our parents aren't here."

Harrison kissed her one more time. "Alright fine."

Carrie took another sip of wine before joining their family in the living room. Debbie handed Adam back to his mom. "Hey little guy. You met grandma huh?"

Adam opened his blue eyes, making Carrie smile. He was so adorable. "He looks so much like you when you were a baby," Harrison's mom told him as he sat down next to Carrie.

"He really does."

Adam inherited a lot more from his father than mother. His light brown eyes were almost hazel, just like his dads. He got his nose and hands from his dad. Although he was a newborn, he had bigger hands then most babies. And Harrison had huge hands. The only thing he got from her was his hair. Adam had dark hair which must've come from Carrie since her hair was slightly darker brown than Harrison's.

He began to cry. "You're getting hungry huh?" She asked, getting up and taking him upstairs, followed by Harrison.

"Everything's in his room," he said from behind her.

"Thanks Harry."

Harrison took Adam from her as she set up her chair. For the first few months, she'd probably have to breastfeed him, unless he took a bottle better.

Sitting down, Carrie took one arm out of her shirt as he handed over their son. Adam started crying as she got herself ready. "Shhh, it's okay little guy. You'll be eating in no time." Pretty soon he was taking milk.

As Adam ate, Harrison sat on the floor next to them and read The Cat in the Hat. "Maybe you should read to me," Carrie teased.

"Yeah right."

She laughed as Adam finished. He moved his little hands against each other, almost clapping. "Do you want daddy to read more?"

He made a fist with his hand and attempted to shove it in his mouth. "I guess that's a yes."
Harrison pulled out another book. He took Adam so she could go change and clean up.

Carrie made her way down the hallway to their room. Going in the closet, she found a pair of Harrison's baggy sweatpants and one of his long sleeve shirts. She put her hair in a messy bun as she walked back down the hallway to join the boys.

Seeing her pass by the top of the stairs, Chance bolted up, almost smashing into Carrie. "Hey buddy!"

He nudged her leg and sat down. "Good boy. I'm sorry we were gone-" she was cut off by him licking her face. "We've got somebody who wants to meet you."

Chance followed her into Adam's room, jumping at Harrison when he saw him. Carrie held him back. "Settle down."

Once he settled down, Carrie let him go over to Harrison and Adam. He titled his head slightly at the sight in Harrison's arms. "That's Adam," Harrison said, sitting up so Chance could see.

He turned and looked at Carrie as if to say, who's that? And what's he doing with my dad? "Go ahead, say hello."

Chance took another step before gently licking Adam's hand. Adam stretched his tiny hand out, touching Chance's nose. And Chance moved closer while tilting his head down so the little boy could pet his head.

Harrison looked up at his wife with a smile. Carrie stood with her hand over her mouth, taking in the sight in front of her.

When Adam pulled his hand away, Chance backed away. "Good boy," she told her dog. Harrison stood up, and took Adam back downstairs where his family was waiting for him.

Both grandmothers jumped at the chance to hold their grandson again. And so Adam made his way around the family once again as Carrie and Harrison prepared dinner.

After holding her grandson, Debbie joined the couple in the kitchen. "He's beautiful."

"Well we do make them cute," Harrison added.

"Harrison!" She scolded, but Debbie only laughed.

After dinner, they all gathered in the living room. Debbie and Eddie pushed over a big wrapped box with a bow around it. "What's this?"

"It's a little surprise from grandma and grandpa."

"Oh boy," Carrie muttered under her breath as she slid forward to unwrap the box. Sometimes her parents could go a little overboard with gifts.

"Well are you going to open it when he's two?" Her dad asked with a smile.

Carrie undid the wrapping paper and opened the box. Reaching inside, she pulled out a giant teddy bear about the size of Chance. "Mom and Dad!"

"I know just the spot for it," Debbie said.

Her mother led her upstairs and into Adam's room where she placed the bear right by the door, across from his crib. "Perfect."

"Alright mom," she answered, nudging her just a bit before mother and daughter headed back downstairs.
