Carrie stood in the tunnel for what likely was the last play of Harrison's last game. The Cowboys made it to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row, and after discussing it throughly with Carrie, Harrison decided to retire after this season.

Harrison loved football a lot, but he loved his family more. He'd been forced to stay away from them more than he'd like with Cowboys practices and summer camps. Although Carrie and Adam came everywhere with him, he still wanted to be home a lot more than normal.

Adam was growing up so fast. In the last few months, he learned more words and was speaking more than a mumble.

Harrison and Carrie were also planning on having another kid somewhere in the near future. Even though Carrie could do it, he didn't want her feeling the pressure of taking care of two young kids while he traveled the country playing football.

Carrie leaned against the wall with Adam on her hip as a timeout was called. Both teams ran to their respective sides. After the timeout, she was surprised to see Harrison running out with the Cowboys offense.

They were down 4 with 7 seconds left in the game on the Steelers 40 yard line. Harrison took the position of tight end on the line of scrimmage. Carrie bit her lip, hoping the Cowboys could pull this one out.

The ball was snapped and he took off down the field and to the end zone. She saw the ball being thrown in his direction. Harrison jumped and twisted in mid air. The Steelers defender jumped just as he did, his helmet against Harrison's stomach, already bringing him down for the tackle.

But somehow, the ball landed softly in Harrison's hand as he fell to the ground. The defender pushed him towards the back of the end zone, very close to being out of bounds. On the way down, Harrison dragged his toes in bounds before falling over the white line.

Carrie screamed along with the rest of the crowd as the referee raised his arms to count the touchdown. She made her way out of the tunnel, through the dozens of people storming the field.

Harrison jumped up, spiked the ball into the turf and ran towards the wall behind the end zone. His teammates followed as he jumped into the crowd. Fans patted his back and helmet before he jumped down.

He ran towards midfield, grabbing the ball he spiked on the way back. Joining his teammates, they piled on top of him.

Carrie continued to jog towards him with Adam. Harrison made his way out of the pile seeing her and Adam. With the ball in hand, he met Carrie halfway, picking her and Adam up in his arms.

"That was amazing!" She said excitedly as he spun the two of them around.

Setting them down, he pressed a kiss to her lips. "I can't believe it!"

Harrison kissed her again as confetti rained down. "I thought he was going to hit me before I could catch it, but somehow I did!"

"Dadda!" Adam reached out for the football his daddy was holding.

"Hey little man," he whispered, kissing his forehead before handing him the ball. Adam held the giant ball before throwing at his father.

At home Adam loved to run around with game balls Harrison brought at home. This one was going to be a little more special.

He caught the ball and tossed it back to Adam who happily caught a pass from his daddy. "Harrison I really can't believe it," Carrie told him, wiping a tear off her cheek.

Harrison put his thumb on her cheek, brushing off another tear. She put a hand around his neck, pulling him in for a kiss. "I love you Carrie."

She smiled. "I love you too."

The whole week following the Super Bowl was hectic. First, many of the players threw their own championship parties. And the Cowboys had a parade through downtown Dallas with the Lombardi Trophy.

But most of the buzz came when he announced his retirement. Everywhere he went, reporters followed, demanding an answer for why he decided to retire. He told them the same thing as he told Carrie; he wanted to spent time with his family.

The front office was very good about the matter as well. They kept the publicity away and even through him a retirement party when he came to pick up his things and final payment. The owner Jerry Jones even threw in a bonus as a thanks for all he'd done for the organization.

When she asked him if he'd miss it, he always said no. But seeing him come out of the locker room after the Super Bowl for the last time as a player, he looked like he missed it already.

Chance jogged over to the door as Harrison opened it. He barked and nudged his leg as Harrison pet him He made his way in the kitchen, holding an envelope and his helmet.

"Well how'd it go?" She asked from the floor.

"Really well."

"That's great."

He nodded, joining her and Adam on the floor. "That's huge," he exclaimed at the giant castle her and Adam had built in the living room.

Adam walked over to the castle that was taller than him. With a block in his hand, he smashed the whole thing, bringing it down with a crash.

Chance jumped, hearing the blocks all come down. "Chancy!"

Hearing his name being called, Chance came over to Adam. Adam helped himself up, grabbing on to Chance's collar. Then he walked across the living room and pulled out the basket which contained his stuffed animals and a few other toys.

"Bwal!" Adam dug through the toys, finding the game ball under a stuffed animal. He ran it back over to his daddy.

Harrison tossed Adam the ball. It bounced off his hands and over his head. Behind him, Chance ran around the ball, pushing it back to the little boy with his nose. "Thank woo Chancy!"

He took a few steps before throwing the ball at the floor. It took a hard bounce off the floor and off Harrison's chest.

Moving over to sit next to him, Carrie picked up the ball and tossed it to Adam. He caught it this time, running it over to his dad. She leaned her head against Harrison's shoulder, watching for the next half hour as he and Adam played catch.
