The oddest lot of people have a sleepover

I dedicate the second to last chapter of HOME to jxblee , my first reader, although you may not still read this book, I appreciate what you did in the early days of my writing. Without you, this book would not have succeeded. Thank you for the confidence.

The particular group hadn't a clue Elli's Dad was an abusive manic.
They felt, in penance for their ignorance, that they owed Elli comfort and love.

Elli wore a white bra and underwear. Her limbs were draped upon Chris' toned body. Chris' Head rested in the crook of the girls neck.
"We should get up."
"I can't."
"Why?"
"My legs?"
"What?"
"Too... Sore..."
"You're shitting me, right?"
"Nope."
"Do I worry, or do I be proud?"
"Be proud."

Elli and Chris wandered (the latter supporting the former) down the halls. They were all over each other, reminiscing about the past night.
They were in love.

"Ohh-kay then..."
Williams voice tore Elli and Chris apart. Both yelled at William in confusion.
In the kitchen was Noora, Isak, William and Eva, making breakfast with massive grins on their face.
"I can see you guys had quite the night..." Muttered Isak.
"I think we are allowed to have a, a- a night."
"You live together!"
"Platonically."
"Bullshit"
"We legitimately only told each other how we felt last night."
"Fuck! Everyone thinks you've been fucking for weeks"
"Great..."

After it was explained that the group had come over to cheer Elli up, they set up mattresses in the tv room (without approval of neither Chris nor Elli) and announced they were having a sleepover. Wasn't long before the friends were all squished together under blankets, eating pancakes and watching movies. It was bliss. A fairytale ending.

Too good to be true, almost.
