(Lily's pov)

Cold.

I don't know if it's my heart or body but I feel utterly cold.

I remember, I remember the day I lost everything, that day I became an empty shell of my self. A monster. But when I try to remember the reason, all I see is nothing. Just a blank page.

What did I lose?

Why can't I remember 'her'?

Why do I feel guilty for not remembering?

All these questions are flying around my head with no answers. I was staring into space, or that is what I thought until my stare was met with wide hazel eyes...hazel eyes.

I focused on the person those eyes belonged to, Jenn stood before me startled "What did- you just- uh mm what?!"

She looked dumbfounded, I found it amusing how utterly confused she looked. I know what she's thinking "How?"

She pressed a red button and a sister came in with a doctor, The doctor asked me some basic question like : how are you feeling? Do you feel any difference?.

I answered her apathetic not caring at all. I hated doctors, I knew some, they never really helped.

"I am completely fine can I go now?" I asked annoyed. I don't need them starting experiments on me like the Redmoon pack.

We went to the Alpha's office, we sat down Jenn beside Alpha Zaire, she gave me these worried glances from time to time, I had enough "Jenn, you don't have to worry, I am fine"

"You eyes tell a different story" she shoot back, I hated it when she did that, she tried to read my emotions, thoughts etc.

I put a disinterested face on " So, Alpha. What are you planning to do with me?"

"That is still open, you can choose whether you want to stay and become a pack member or you can leave," "The issue with the 6 pack members is solved by the way, Jenn gave her statement you are free"

"Oh, I hoped you would continue what your Beta couldn't do" I commented nonchalantly, Jenn didn't like my joke, she gave me a frown that said don't-joke-around.

I dropped it " so, where is my mate at? Didn't see him around,"

Alpha Zaire stared, bothered by my not so polite tone " He has border patrol"

"How is he? Does he still mourn over her death?"

Jenn looked away not really getting the topic, Zaire gave me hard look "He is good I guess, he has been working non stop the last days avoiding Jenn, me or you.
