A few days had passed since Hashirama's breakdown. The entire time, Mikubae was busied with his problem. Hashirama explained to her what kind of woman his crush was, what he remembered her wearing, and other things that might contribute to their search. She had established that shopping for a gift wasn't going to work.
Every time she suggested something, a hairpin, a necklace, a sculpture, or even a dress - her brother found some way where the gift was imperfect. Mikubae told herself continuously to have patients with him. This was his first love.
But every time her brother thought of some outrageous fable about the future, she wanted to just drop the whole thing on Tobirama. The younger Senju boy stayed completely away from them. Acting oblivious to it all.
Mikubae finally decided to buy beautiful, plain material with a hairpin to match it. With it in hand and her tools for embroidery, she decided that he would make something from the heart. His fingers were wrapped in bandages after just a single hour.
'No one said teaching was easy,' She'd tell herself with an animated tear. She tried instructing her brother in ways of the art. After getting the framework done and the basic idea, he nobly stated that he'd do it himself.
Thus, allowing Mikubae to have her first free day. And she couldn't be happier to spend it with her favorite grouchy Uchiha. Madara and her sat on a mat, underneath the shade of one of the many sakura trees. No one was in the garden. It was just them, the sweet wind, and soundless air.
