Without any rest, the shinobi units traveled several miles to their next location. Madara and Tobirama were left with only 3 men left. Two being Uchihas. Like he had said, Tobirama took the lead on the tracking. The trail led the team to a cavernous area. The land leading to it was desolate. There were a few remnants of the war. Weapons, craters, skeletons.
"We'll take over now," Madara stated, walking in front. "Our sharigan can see through the darkness clearer."
Tobirama just scoffed. "The only reason I'm being so lenient with you is because I made a promise to my sister."
"I could say the same thing."
"There are chakra signatures deep within the mountain," one of the Uchihas reported, his sharigan blazing bright as they stayed trained on the chakra signatures. The group all took out weapons, slowly moving into the dark depths. Madara could read 3 signatures a few yards from their position while there were several signatures below them. The group came to a crossroad.
"There are more than a dozen signatures below us."
Tobirama nodded. "Kawa and I will take care of it while you three move forward."
"Hn. Take one of my men with you." Tobirama narrowed his eyes. "If you stupidly underestimate the enemy, you'll get yourself killed. "
"Tch. Would you like to have a debate about this or shall we get on with this?" Tobirama clicked his tongue distastefully. He didn't like taking his enemy's sass, but for the sake of the mission, he was going to swallow it down. He nodded to one of the Uchihas before guiding them away. Madara and his clansmen advanced forward. The two kept a jogging pace.
