"Hey, are you the girl that Agostino hired?" The bartender asked me after giving me a curious side eye for a while

I smiled to myself a little as the word hired sounded pretty humorous in the given situation

"Yeah, that would be me"

He gave me a boyish grin making his eyes crinkle at the sides with his brown, curly hair messily falling over his forehead

"I'm Jake the bartender, nice to meet you" he said extending his hand

"Diana"I said shaking his hand " Nice to meet you too Jake the bartender" He smiled at my lame reply

"Would you like a drink?"he asked while cleaning with a cloth a already clean glass

"I think it's more appropriate to say that I need a drink" to survive in this place I thought to myself

He chuckled again " Whiskey?" he asked as a suggestion

"Sure" I replied not really caring too much what the drink was

He slid a glass with brown liquid in front of me and went back to filling the glasses for occasional half naked waitresses that came with orders

I took a sip of the liquid and swallowed relishing the burning feeling in my throat

Next to me stood Agostino looking down at me without saying anything

"If you wanted a sip asking would have been a lot more effective than staring like a creep" I said with a chuckle

"You shouldn't be drinking at work" he simply said

"Hmm" I made a noise " When I read my contract and I mean allll of it and if I remember correctly which I do, there was nothing said about consumption of alcohol in my work hours in which case I can undoubtedly do this" I said taking a huge sip from the glass in my hand

He took the glass out of my hand and placed it on the counter in front of me
"I think that's enough, you will get drunk"

"Aww are you worried about me?" I asked emotionless

He looked at me with a hard glare. Whats with everybody here and glaring?

I rolled my eyes at him " Don't worry it takes a lot more to get me drunk" I said snatching the glass back up and drinking the remainder

"It just helps me relax" I explained

"You shouldn't be relaxed, you should be on high alert non-stop and be ready to take care of any unwanted situations" Agostino said with a low husky voice which would have probably made me turned on if I didn't know who he was

I turned in my chair looking around in the dark room to see a few men in the corner having a conversation probably about business or who has cheated on their'e wife the most in the past week

On a few other couches there were a few more men scattered drinking, getting lap dances and occasionally slapping the waitresses butt

I turned back to face Agostino who was now sitting down

"Oh yes it definitely looks like these men are plotting something against you especially that one with saliva running down the side of his mouth"Agostino looked at the man I was referring to and chuckled slightly

"Whiskey"He motioned to the bartender then looked at me and down at my glass " and a refill please" he said pointing towards my empty glass

"I'm impressed"He then said after getting his drink and taking a gulp

I turned to him confused "What?"

"Only three women complained about you, that has to be some kind of record"

"Oh well I was hoping none would so still not good enough" I answered

He looked at me like he couldn't believe what he was hearing and shook his head at me smiling slightly

"What? What's so funny?"

He shook his head again looking at me some more" Nothing, you're just a breath of fresh air around here"

"I can't agree on that I'm more likely Carbon Dioxide than Oxygen" I answered with a straight face taking another sip of my never ending drink

Looking over at Agostino he had already stood up ready to leave with an empty glass in front of him

"Oh, I almost forgot we have a meeting tomorrow at six in my office and considering you are now one of my employees you are expected to come" he said

"Are all of your employees coming, like all of the girls too?" I asked with furrowed eyebrows

"No, of course not,only high ranked people"

"I'm high ranked?"I just got here what is this guy talking about

"Yes, you are in charge of a big portion of our business and you will be staying here for quite a while considering how much money you have to pay off so it would be better to get to know more people around here" he finished buttoning up his blazer

"Right" I answered not knowing what else to say and Agostino vanished from my sight soon after that 

Is this guy serious I just got here and he is already calling me to a meeting where they will probably be discussing very important things

Is he not the slightest bit suspicious about me?

Well, if he's not then I am hell more than suspicious and it sounds a lot like they will be testing me but I can't understand what he's got under the sleeve of that dark blazer of his

I guess waiting until tomorrow is my only option and thats what I'm planning to do but for now another drink is in order.
