I wake in a bed that is not my own; the sheets are a dark brown and silky. I'm still wearing my dress from the dance, but it's all dirty. Mud and clumps of grass line the bed sheets. Opps. I hop out of bed sliding my bare feet across the hard wood floor. It is still dark out. How long have I been dead? What happened to Klaus? When I find Damon I'm going to ring his neck. How dare he I was so close, He was almost dead. I pick up my black shoes, someone must have found the one I lost at the school. I slip them on and exit the room. Recognizing my surroundings I now realize I'm in the boarding house.

"Alexa?" A timid voice asks poking around the corner.

"Elena" I say softly making my way to her. Her face is red and tear stained. "You ok?"

"Yeah come here I'm Skyping Bonnie"

"Elena. Bonnie....Bonnie is... Dead" I say flatly.

"No she's not" Elena retorts

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elena explained how Damon told her that Bonnie used a protection spell and that she was staying at the witch house. Why didn't I know? Also Jeremy is going to keep her company for the next few days while we figure out our next move. We skyped Bonnie, It was basically just her and Elena crying and apologizing. Typical teenage behaviour.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Good night Bonnie" Elena and I say closing the laptop. I stand behind Elena.

I turn to meet her eyes "Bed. Now. Go." I push her up the stairs. And all the way to the room she is staying in.

"Goodnight" she mutters and closes the door behind her. I wait till the light shuts off before leaving.

I wonder back down the stairs to the front door, where I'm stopped by a voice.

"You heading home?" It's Stefan. His face is slightly red, but nowhere near as red as Elena's.

"Yeah" I answer to his place halfway down the stairs. "It's been a long day. You know with your friend dying and then you yourself dying. It takes a lot out of you." I joke, stepping closer to him. We share a laugh before he stiffens

"Damon is sorry you know. He just..."

"Didn't want to lose me" I finish for him. It seems like the default reason whenever he does anything stupid.

"Do you need a ride?" Stefan asks reaching into his pocket for his keys.

"No I'll walk. Thanks anyway. Bye Stefan"

"Bye" he calls after me. Turning up the stairs.

I walk out the door and almost begin to head down the drive way when I hear a loud cracking. I run down to the cellar and see Elena with Elijah's dagger.

"What the hell do you think you're doing!?" I demand. Pushing my way past her to Elijah.

"I need his help" she starts trying to hide the dagger.

"Like hell you do! Give me that!" I snatch the dagger from her hands and plunge it back into Elijah's chest. We don't need another original causing a fuss.

"He knows how to kill Klaus. At least let him explain!" She pleads reaching for the dagger again.

"Elena he's dangerous" I smack her hand away.

"I'll be fine"

"You have one day I will be seeing you tomorrow." I order "You best know what you're getting into." I grab the dagger from Elijah's chest and toss it to her. I am not in the right mind set to be giving advice. I leave her with the awakening original.

"Did I do the right thing" I ask myself "was it alright I left her with him" oh well. She's going to get herself killed.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I go to open the door when I remember I left my coat and keys at the coat check.
"Damn it!" I curse. Now what? I look to my bedroom window that remained open. "There's an option" I climb up the drain pipe and into my room. Well that worked. I walk into my bathroom. I gaze into the mirror, my hair is tousled to hell, my dress is covered in dry mud and I lost an ear ring. Fantastic.
I brush my hair, slide out of my dress and hop into the shower. I let the warm water relax me. I shampoo my hair and exit, I dry off with a fluffy white towel and wrap it around my torso. I stand in front of the mirror and close my eyes I image my hair dry and pin straight. When I open them it was exactly how I wanted it. I put on black pyjama shorts and an old grey tank top and slide into bed.
"Tomorrow's going to be long" I state before I fall asleep.
