Chapter Twelve

The days start to blur together. Stefan, Klaus and I have been looking for werwolf's for half the summer with no luck. Klaus has not once asked me to do a locator spell. I don't know if he thinks I cant handle it or if he doesn't want to force me. Maybe he's waiting till I offer? I've been getting a mass amount of calls from both Damon and Elena. I always get them around Klaus and he doesn't let me answer them. I get calls from Bonnie every once and a while, she usually just leaves messages saying how she's doing, and about how she's practicing the mind linking I showed her. It's to bad we're to fare away to link.

Anyway it's about two in the morning and I cant get to sleep. We're staying in a hotel, my room is connected to Stefan and Klaus's by a wooden door. I wouldn't even be able to open the door to the hall without one of them bursting trough, so going for a walk is out of the question. I drag a chair to the window, draw back the curtains and watch the overview of the city. The only people awake at this time are people partying. I stare out the window until I feel a tap on my shoulder. I jump and turn around.

"You nearly gave me a heart attack" I say lightly punching Klaus in the chest. He stood in dark jeans and black long sleeve shirt.

"Take a walk with me" he says heading for the door.

I look down at myself, My navy blue pyjama sorts and tank top weren't very outside friendly. "Can I get dressed first?" I says gesturing to my outfit.

"If you must"

I go to my bag and pull out socks, skinny jeans and a black
T-shirt. I head for the bathroom and get changed. I emerge and slip on my black ankle boots. It's quite warm out so I don't need a jacket. I look over and see Klaus sitting on my chair by the window, leaning on his elbows.

"Ready?" I ask walking to him. His eyes still fixed on the cityscape. "Stunning isn't it?" I lean with my palms pressed agents the windowsill.

He stands facing me, looking deep into my eyes "Yes stunning"

I cant help but be drawn to him. There's a slight pull that I feel when I'm alone with him. Nagging me to touch him, nagging me to get closer.

"Shall we." Klaus says out stretching a hand to me.

"Umm... Yeah" I say taking his hand. I feel something like an electric current course up my arm when we touch. He leads me out of the room and into the hall, Stefan is leaning agents the wall and looks down at our conjoined hands. My face turns red as I let go of Klaus's hand.

I cross my arms on my chest. "What is it" I demand my cheeks still burning.

"We have a lead"

"On a werewolf?"

"Yup"

"Let's go" I say excitement in my voice. We haven't even had as much as a lead in a week. I tun to go back into the room to get my bag, but I smack square into the door.

Laughter erupts behind me as I steady myself, I open the door and close it tight. I cant believe I did that, I rub my nose "That hurt". I grab my bag, search the room for anything I left behind and head into the hall.

Stefan an Klaus stand bags in hand, both looking at me. Our bags are no bigger than duffle bags. We walk down to the front desk. Nether of us saying a word.

"What can I do for you" blonde working front desk asks Klaus. Her name tag reads Kate. She eyes him up and down smiling.

"My friends and I would like to check out" he says smiling back.

I glare at her, she simply looks at me and gives me a taunting smile. "Of corse who's name is it registered under?"

"Klaus Mikealson"

"Just a moment" she types something into the computer "and you good to go" she checks Klaus out again, looking at me after. I give her a hatful smile and turn to leave. Stefan and Klaus walk in front of me.

I walk out the door, they just barely close when I say "Phasmatos incendia" the papers on the front desk light on fire, I smile as she scrambles for a way to put out the fire.

"That wasn't very nice" Klaus says grinning.

"I don't know what your talking about" I lie sliding into the black seat of the car. He laughs and sits in the drivers seat, Stefan joins him in the front. "So where are we going?"

"Tennessee"
