An invitation to a ball? You mean… a ball with dancing? I walked back and forth in the balcony as cold sweat ran down my cheek. I really don’t know how to dance with a partner. I didn’t pay any attention to Tsukimiya-sensei when we were learning about waltz and such. Now I really am in trouble. I wish I should’ve paid attention. All I did is sleep in her/his class. Now I’m even confused with his/her gender. -_-

Ichinose left me after giving me the invitation. We were invited to this particular ball for idols- me, representing the new batch of idols in Shining Entertainment and Ichinose for Starish.

I looked down at my feet and started doing some basic waltz that I’m familiar with. I stepped left then right and continuously swayed in that motion. My hands are just dangling on my sides. I pretty much look like a lunatic right now.

“What are you doing?” I turned around to find Syo and Shinomiya standing at the opening looking at me with Syo’s one eyebrow cocked in curiosity.

“What do you mean you don’t know how to waltz?!” Syo shouted at me as I looked down and fiddled with my fingers.

“I-I just don’t” I answered simply. You can see despondency on Syo’s expression. Hooray for the already stupid me who doesn’t even know how to dance a simple waltz.

“What are you talking about?! You graduated at Saotome academy as the highest ranked idol but you don’t know how to waltz?” He shouted with his teeth gritted. I can cry right now, I’m once again being lectured by Syo.

“Syo-kun, you don’t have to pour salt unto the wound.” Reiji uttered while observing my hopeless situation. Right beside him is Ichinose and Shinomiya. I sigh out of depression.

“Fine fine… Let’s just get on with it.” He bellowed. He held on to my waist as I stared at him. He flashed me a sheepish expression.

“What?” I asked with my brows knitted. “Hold on to me.” He shouted with authority- an animated vein popping out of his temple.

I placed my right hand on top of his shoulder and my left on top of his right hand.  I maintained a gap between us and that seems to be okay with him. I stared at his eyes but he looked away with a bit of blush showing itself. I giggled.

Haruka started playing and Syo begins our lesson.

An hour has passed and I still kept messing up. We kept on dancing and my feet are killing me. I could tell that Syo feels the same, well especially him- I can’t remember how many times I stepped on his foot. I kept on apologizing but I kept doing the same mistake. He never makes his lessons clear after all. He’ll say: keep on dancing, straighten your posture. Watch your partner’s feet over and over again. I’m getting pretty annoyed as well.

“Let’s take a break.” Haruka uttered as she let out a deep long sigh.

“Sorry for getting you into this Haruka-senpai… and… Thank you.” I bowed down at her as a sign of gratitude. “Ah, no need to mention it. I’m glad I could be of help to you.” She responded in a calm manner.

“You’re even worst that Cecil when he has that going-around-in-circles syndrome of his.” Syo uttered, his back facing me. That pissed me but I didn’t fought back, after all, he is my senior and currently in debt of him. I bowed down and said my thanks to him, but he kept on lecturing me without paying attention to my act of gratitude.

“You may be beautiful but you have two left feet.” He continued, “It’s really hard to teach you, and it’s only basic waltz.”

I smiled but my face is already showing a sour expression.
