Sam's POV- Monday.
I'm outside the school with the guys talking about who knows what. I'm not really paying attention. All I know is they started talking about football and I zoned out.

I heard the familiar sound of a motorcycle engine and rolled my eyes at the thought of who was riding it. The girl who's responsible for the entire school hating me, leaving me to hang out with an impatient jock who's temper gets on my nerves, and an annoying class clown, wannabe f-boy(I say wannabe 'cause, he doesn't have the heart to be that much of a jerk.). The one and only Carmen Hart.

Joey keeps defending her and telling me it's not her fault.

Um, yeah, it kind of is!

If it wasn't for her getting the plastics after her in the first place, none of this would be happening.

"Um, hello. Earth to Sam."

"Huh?" I asked.

"You're doing it again," Corey told me.

I frowned. "Doing what again?"

"Glaring at Carmen from afar," Joey said.

I raised my eyebrow. "Sooo."

"It's weird!" Corey exclaimed in a duh tone.

"And, kinda uncalled for," Joey added.

I glared at him, and he put his hands up in defense. "Just my opinion."

"Mhm. Thanks for the input," I said sarcastically. "And why are you always defending her? You in love with her or something?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

He looked at me. "Yes Sam, I'm deeply in love with the girl I met a few weeks ago." He rolled his eyes.

Oh, the sarcasm.

I looked back to Carmen to see her walking up to the door, unaware of our presence.

  Oh, thank go-

  "Hey! Carmen, over here."

Joey! You have got to be kidding me!

She turned in our direction and smiled at us. I immediately returned her a glare, and she took the hint-Thank god- and gave the guys a wave then continued into the school.

I kept my eyes narrowed at where she used to stand. After a few seconds, I turned back to the guys. They were both eyeing me, and Joey's arms were crossed.

  "What?" I asked.

Joey just shook his head, then sighed. "Let's go," he said jumping off the railing he had been sitting on.

I looked at Corey to see if he could give me anything. He just walked off after Joey.

Why do these two have to be so complicated? Why can't they just say exactly what they mean? They're almost worse than girls.

I rolled my eyes and followed. When I walked in I was met by a wall of kids. That wall included Corey and Joey. Everyone else was laughing their heads off, while the guys were standing there awestruck with their mouths gaping open. I rolled my eyes. What could possibly be so-?

Oh shoot. Carmen's in a trash can.

. . . The big, bad, Carmen Hart, is sitting in a trash can. . .I couldn't help but smirk. It's a rather comical sight.

When I let out a soft chuckle is when the guys finally snapped out of their shocked state. Joey turned and glared at me and Corey just stayed staring at Carmen.
