Chapter 15: Sasuke Part 3

Recap: "Alright," Shikamaru speaks, "let's move out."

"Wait!"

"Are you ok?" Naruto turns around to question Sakura.

"Lady Hokage told me everything, sorry Sakura I can't take you on this mission." Shikamaru pipes up. Rin stares up at the sky, they were burning daylight. They needed to go now. "I know you tried, but even you couldn't convince Sasuke could you? Now our only option is for me to find him and force him to come back to the village. I'm sorry, but there's nothing more you could do for him."

Sakura starts to cry, and break down in tears.

"Does that mean, he turned his back on you?" Naruto says making the situation worse.

Rin turned away not wanting to see the commotion unlike, everyone else who probably liked a little drama.

"-Alright then, this little interruption costed us some time. Let's get moving." With that the seven of them took off. Gripping her necklace Rin prayed to the dragons that they wouldn't disappear.

Listening to the conversation what was going around her, she ran through the trees.

"Everyone stop!" Shikamaru yells. Stopping immediately she bumped into Choji.

"Oof."

Looking up a paper bomb was glued to the tree. While everyone was talking about this 'perimeter barrier,' Rin channeled her magic to be spiked when needed.

Rin rolled her eyes at the amateurs next to her trying to avoid traps. "Hell Core: Cupid's Wings." She mumbled under her breath.

Hell Core: Cupid's wings, gives the user black wings, and since Cupid looked like Death 99% of the time in Greek Mythology, the creator gave the spell the name.

With her black wings upon her back she flew right above the group. Since they were busy paying attention to the wires they didn't give a glance at the flying girl.

Plus this gave her an advantage. Seeing below and above.

"I see them!" Neji yells. Rin looks to where his eyes lead to see if she could too, but to her dismay the enemy was to far away.

"So whats the plan Shikamaru?" Rin asks from where she was. Shikamaru glanced up to see the girl with her wings, but didn't give it a question. He didn't need to know or want to.

"That's it, So Kiba the timing of those smoke bombs is absolutely crucial, got it?"

"Got it." He confirms. Shikamaru looks around the group.

"So split up, let's go." He says, with that the six of them stand up.

They walk through the bushes, with the exception of Rin flying low, and spot the enemy.

"Looks like we caught them napping," he whispers to Rin. "Hmm, where's Sasuke!?" He whisper yells.

"Hmm? He's in that coffin." Neji answers casually.

"You don't mean he's dead?!" Rin rolls her eyes at the two.

A blue haired in throws a kunai at the three of them, the three explosive tags detonated. Making the three of them fly through the air.

"AHHHH!" Rin screeches.
