(Sasuke X Reader) The Eyes That Capture

Chapter 15

"(Name), let's go!"

Ino says as she stands beside your table. It has always been a routine whereby she will walk with you to the gate.

You look at her, a smile plastered on her face.

"I'm sorry, ino. I have something to do. You can leave without me. Sakura must've been waiting, right?"

You tell her kindly, not wanting to hurt her.

"Alright then. Take care, (name)!"

She says cheerfully as she walks out of the classroom while waving at you. After she is gone, you pack your stuff and head towards the destination that has been playing in your mind for a while now.

That's right. The infirmary.

"Sorry for interrupting..." You whisper slowly while opening the door to the room. However, you find that nobody is around.

"Guess the nurse already went home." You mutter to yourself.

Then, you make your way to a single bed behind a white curtain to check on him. You slide the curtain open.

There he is, still sleeping soundly like a little boy. A smile perches on your lips as you stare at him.

Now that he's sleeping like that and he is quiet, he really looks so adorable.

Then, you notice a book on his chest.

"God, you're reading even in this state? You're unbelievable." You nag at him in his sleep.

However, the book somehow looks unfamiliar. It is not a school book, so what is it?

Curiousity has taken over you. Carefully, you lift up the book from his chest to peek at its content. You are so careful as you don't want to wake him up.

Just when you think that you see something about 'history of uchiha', the book suddenly shut. You startle for a while.

"After staring at a sleeping guy, you try to sneak at his book. That is not a very good thing to do, i think."

Sasuke speaks, his eyes are still closed.
You stutter for a while as you are extremely shocked.

"W-wait, you were awake the whole time?!" You ask him in embarrassment.

Sasuke open his eyes and looks at you.

"I guess you can say so." He answers calmly.

Blood starting to rush to your face.

"But why didn't you say anything?!" You are not mad, just totally embarassed.

"Well..." Sasuke sits up on the bed.

"I thought that maybe if i pretend to be asleep, you'll say something like, 'omg sasuke is so handsome while sleeping!' or 'this guy made me worried to death today' or maybe even 'actually, i love you, sasuke.' and you'll kiss me in my sleep. Then, i will wake up miraculously from my sleep like the sleeping beauty and snow will start falling from the sky. After that, we can live happily ever after. It's just, instead of the sleeping beauty, you need to change the title to the sleeping handsome."

Your mouth fly open at his ridiculous story.
JUST WHAT THE HELL IS HE TALKING ABOUT?!

Briskly, you push sasuke and get him lying back to the bed.

"SASUKE, YOU ARE EXTREMELY SICK! STAY HERE, I WILL CALL A DOCTOR! WE MIGHT NEED TO SEND YOU TO A HOSPITAL BUT IT IS FOR THE BEST. YOUR CONDITION HAVE TOTALLY WORSEN AND YOU NEED TREATMENT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!"

Sasuke stares at you quizzically.

"What? What are you talking about? I'm fine!"

"NO YOU ARE NOT! I AM SO SORRY SASUKE. THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE OF ME. I SHOULD'VE ACCOMPANIED YOU JUST NOW AND NOT LEAVING YOU ALONE HERE..."

"H-hey, (name), relax! I was just kidding!"

He tells you but you totally ignore him.

"BEFORE THIS YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY A JERK BUT I NEVER THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULD LOSE YOUR MIND LIKE THIS! I'M SO SORRY, SASUKE... THIS IS BECAUSE OF ME!!!"

"(Name), stop it!"

Sasuke grabs your arms and pulls you closer to him.

You are stunned by his action, so you stay quiet.

"Relax, okay... I was just kidding."

He says, half whispering, trying to calm you down. You take a deep breath and release it slowly.

"Don't scare me like that!"

You scold him.

"I didn't! I was just joking!" He scolds you back.

You sigh helplessly.

"DON'T ever joke like that again."

Sasuke also sighs.

"Alright, i won't. By the way, why are you here?"

He questions you, trying to change the topic. Then only you realize your real intention of coming here.

"Oh! Actually, i was about to accompany you home. My shift starts at 6 today and i have like 2 hours left, so why not i walk home with you." You tell him, bringing a smile on his lips.

"Alright. I'm going to take my stuffs and we'll go. I've been wanting to show you the Uchiha Mansion for a while now." He says proudly.

You can't help but to scoff at him.

"You're still up to that? Now i don't feel like walking with you."

Hearing that, sasuke pulls your bag from behind and turns you to face him. He lifts up your chin to meet his gaze and smirks.

"Don't you dare breaking your promise now. I'll kiss you."

With that, sasuke leaves the infirmary, totally satisfied with what he did. Meanwhile inside, you are still dumbfounded. Blood keeps rushing to your face making it so hot and red like tomato. You turn and sprint to catch up to him.

"Wait for me, you jerk!"
