Chapter 55

Finally, it is the start of the final stage of the math competition. You have just finished listening to a briefing by the committee members and are now heading to your waiting room.

Apprently, the quiz will be going on for three days. Meanwhile, you will stay at a place prepared by the committees.

There are three rounds of quizzes that you have to go through, each round for each day. But today is only a registration day, so no competitions will be held. The prize giving ceremony will be held on the day after the last round. Therefore, in total, you will be staying for 5 days over there.

The competition is held in Amegakure, a small city in the middle of the five big cities. It is convenient for everyone to attend.

Right now, all of you are walking towards your waiting room. Apparently, minato-san, the principal of konoha high wants to meet all of you.

Oh, and not to forget, he's naruto's father, and it's the first time you meet him personally like this.

It's quite nerve-wrecking, given that minato-san is a very popular man in konoha for his leadership skills. He's quite different from naruto, you guess.

You enter the waiting room alongside sasuke, temari, neji and shikamaru.

There, you can see kakashi with a blond haired man, presumably minato. He looks a lot like naruto, except he's much more handsome than that air-head. Oops.

"Welcome back."

He greets all of you, with a sweet smile on his face.

You simply bow at him and then take a seat on the chairs provided.

"Firstly, i would like to congratulate all of you for reaching this stage. You have done an amazing job in the past three months. I also believe that you can do much better in the future. For this round, i hope that you can just have fun in search of experience. I know, all of you want to win. So do i. Your victory will be ours too, but i hope that you won't strain yourself. It's okay if you don't win, as long as you can take the lesson and move forward as a much smarter person. Is that clear?"

All five of you nod, agreeing with the principal. Meanwhile, you can't help but to be amazed by the speech of the man standing in front of you. He is so calm, so mature and so kind. Now you can see where naruto got his positive attitude from. It would be cool if that boy actually becomes like his father one day.

"If all of you are clear with what I'm trying to say, then i guess that's all to it. I wish you all the best and good luck. Do your best for konoha, alright? Then, excuse me. I need to go back to konoha."

Minato stands up, and all of you also stand with him to show respect. Before he leaves the room, you bow to him again. And then, minato walks out of the room with kakashi by his side.

"This place is huge..."

You mumble to yourself as you stroll around the building. Right now, you have nothing to do alone, so you decide to have a walk in the compound.

Shikamaru and temari have gone to meet shikamaru's father. He attends because he is one of the question makers and also a judge. 

Well, he's smart.

Meanwhile, neji decides to stay at his room, studying alone. He is as hardworking as always. Maybe that's why he's so talented.

And sasuke...

Sasuke...

Who knows where he's gone to.

He leaves without a word and you didn't get the chance to ask. He even turns off his phone.
