(Sasuke X Reader) The Eyes That Capture

Chapter 93

Akatsuki Restaurant.

It is a usual morning. Everyone in there is tending the customers carefully, fulfilling their needs.

Suddenly, a man steps into the restaurant.

His presence alone is enough to change the atmosphere inside the eatery. Every pair of eyes fixes onto the man.

He stands in front of the door for a while, his eyes scanning through the customers and waiters as he searches for the person.

That one person.

Suddenly, his onyx orbs catch a glimpse of a familiar figure, only the mask hiding the face. The waiter is talking cheerfully with his customer, not noticing his presence.

He observes the man for a while. And then, his lips form an upward curve.

"It's him."

After he is confident about the identity of the person behind the mask, he moves closer to the person.

His steps echo in the room, and one by one people stare at him. But he doesn't even care.

Finally, he stops in front of the masked man.

"Obito."

His low voice calling the male's real name causes the latter to startle.

It has been so long since someone calls him by that name except for his wife. And to hear that after so long, makes him unable to move.

His body trembles as he slowly turns to look at the caller. Inevitably, his eyes widen when he sees who's in front of him. The last time they met, was 5 years ago. It is beyond surprise for them to meet like this.

But he tries to keep himself calm. Obito just smiles.

"S-sorry, sir. But i think you mistook me for someone else. Is there anything that i can help you with?"

He casually speaks like nothing is wrong, but the man is too smart for him to fool. His serious face doesn't change a bit and he just stares.

Finally, the man sighs.

"You don't have to pretend like that. I can't be the future leader of Uchiha if I can't even recognise my own brother."

Obito startles.

The man in black suit slowly lifts up his hand and touches the mask before finally removing it. Obito doesn't stop him. He just stands still.

Finally, his face is fully revealed.

Obito is seen wearing a pained expression, averting his brother's eyes. Seeing this man, makes everything that happened 5 years ago comes back to mind.

"I knew i was right."

The man says proudly.

"How did you know that I'm here? I don't think Sasuke told you. Not after keeping quiet all this while."

Obito asks, still not making any eye contact.

"Well, things happened. Even i know someone else that is as sharp as Sasuke in observing people. He figured out that you are an Uchiha even with the mask on, and told me about it. He said it's a return favour for taking care of his sister."

And it becomes quiet for a while.

"What do you want, Fugaku? Won't you be punished if you meet me?"

Fugaku smirks.

"I will be heavily punished, but that's before. Now everything has changed. I come here to bring you home, Obito. And your wife too."
