(Sasuke X Reader) The Eyes That Capture

Chapter 64

"I'm talking about (name)."

Sasuke remains silent after he listens to her name.

It is so sudden, but he tries to keep a calm facade.

He then continues to eat the cookies.

"Why? Did anything happen?"

Sakura frowns.

"Stop pretending, sasuke. Please, i beg you. Just this once, drop your ego and speaks the truth."

"I don't see the point of doing that. I don't have the need to do that. So I'm not."

"But you'll end up hurting yourself!"

"Who cares?"

"I care!"

Sasuke startles when sakura shouts out the answer. He doesn't expect that.

Meanwhile, sakura's eyes start to get teary.

"I... I care, sasuke. I do..."

The female tries so hard to make sure that the tears doesn't drop. The feeling that she's been hiding all this while is coming back to overwhelm her.

Meanwhile, sasuke is trying to calm himself down by taking a deep breath.

"That's enough, sakura. I appreciate that you're thinking about me, but in this case, just let me be. I'll handle it alone."

Sasuke then gets on his feet and slowly starts to leave.

"Sasuke, wait!"

The male stops.

Sakura also stands from her chair and rushes towards him.

She stops right in front of him, and looks at him seriously.

"I love you."

Sasuke's eyes widen in shock.

"I love you, sasuke. I really, really love you."

"S-sakura, th-"

"I know you love (name). I know it very well."

Sasuke startles again at her words. It's making him confused.

Just what is wrong with her...?

"But i still love you."

The tears that threaten to overcome her just now finally fall onto her cheeks.

It's sad, but she has to accept the truth.

"Please, sasuke... Date me..."

The sentence comes out like a plead, as she is so desperate to get him to accept her.

Sasuke is still processing what's going on, but when he listen to her words, he finally understands.

She's desperate.

She knows he loves someone else, but still chooses to confess.

Confessing is one thing, but asking for something impossible like to date her is out of the topic. It's not going to happen, she knows that more than anyone else.

Sasuke looks at the girl carefully, her wet eyes are showing that she desperately wants his answer. Then, as calm as he can, sasuke speaks.

"I'm sorry, sakura, i can't."

The sentence strikes right through the wall of her heart. Sakura somehow starts to feel angry.

"Why?! I've been by your side all this while. I've been with you since we're both kids. We've been together since we can remember, so why?!"

"You know why, sakura. You know very well."

Sakura clenches her fist in anger. The exploding emotion has gotten full control of her.

Sakura is no longer able to control herself anymore.

"(Name), is it? That ungrateful wench,  is it?"

Sasuke startles when he hears those words.

"What the hell are you talking about?!"

She smirks.

"So I'm right. It's her."

She looks towards the angry sasuke straight into his eyes, not wavering a bit even though the male is basically glaring at her.

She even dares to speak more.

"It's true, sasuke. She's ungrateful. You treated her kindly, you give her a space in our group. You even give her full attention which you've NEVER given to any of us, but in the end, she chose to be with someone else. Isn't that awful?"

"Sakura, that's enough."

"Sasuke, can't you see?! She's happy now! She has a new boyfriend! A freaking handsome boyfriend! You are the only one that's feeling sad and lonely. She's extremely happy! So why must you torture yourself? You can get her to feel sad as well. Show her that you're also happy. Annoy her, hurt her! Use me!"

"Sakura-"

"We both can show her that we are the happiest couple on earth! She'll be extremely annoyed! Serve her right! That ungrateful bitch!"

"SAKURA!!!"

Sasuke's scream makes sakura extremely shocked. Sasuke never shouts, no matter how mad or stressed out he is.

But now, it's different.

He must've been beyond mad now. He's extremely angry.

"I said, that's enough."

He grits his teeth, signing that he's furious. Her words, are unforgivable.

"Which part of 'i can't' that you don't understand, huh?! Do you even know what's going on in my life?! Or you just pretend to know?! Say, sakura. Do you know?!"

No answers.

"Do you even realize what you're saying? The ungrateful girl that you're talking about is the woman that i love! The only girl that is able to enter my heart. Nobody ever did that, not even you. So if you're insulting her, it means that you're putting yourself much lower under her. Do you even know that?"

Sakura bits her lips when she realizes the truth in his words. If (name) ranks low, then she is much lower than her.

She can't even get the man that she loves to love her back...

"Stop insulting other people, sakura. You look pathetic."

Sakura startles at his words.

"Plus, i didn't know you were like this. You have just showed me your true colors, and it seems like it you are not as kind as i ought you to be. You are jealous of other people, your heart is full of hatred. You are disgusting. I hope you'll never ever approach me again."

With those hurtful sentence, sasuke then leaves the backyard and gets into his house, leaving sakura alone.

She is too shocked, she's unable to move. The weight of his words is too much for her to carry, so sakura finally falls onto the ground.

She covers her face with her palms, and cry as hard as she can.

The love of her life, already hates her now.

The man that she loves, is disgusted by her now.

There's nothing else that she can do.

He doesn't even want to talk to her anymore.

A huge storm of regret comes rushing down her heart.

She keeps on crying.

"What have i done?!"
