14. First Time

I felt his hands underneath the shirt I was wearing moving along the sides of my waist towards my ribcage. I didn't stop him or push him away. Somehow I felt like I was finally ready.

He broke the kiss looking at me like he was fighting to stay in control "Bridget are you sure about this?"

The fact that he stopped just to make sure that I was ready to give part of myself to him and not give in to his instincts cleared up any small doubts I had. I was ready to share this moment with him

I nodded "Yes" before kissing him again.

I woke up the next morning to the suns' rays sipping through the transparent curtains of Kevin's room. I closed my eyes then quickly opened them realising that I was in Kevin's. Everything from the previous night hit me and I cover my eyes with the crook of my arm as I groaned inwardly.

What would my mother say to this? I'm pretty sure she would throw a fit but then the thoughts from the previous night put a smile on my face. I remember how he tried to be gentle with me though I knew it was taking a lot of restraint. I thought about how he got a wet towel and cleaned me up afterwards and held me in his arms till I fell asleep whispering nothing but sweet words.

I couldn't help the huge smile that appeared on my face just thinking about it. I was literally blushing. Kevin wasn't on his side of the bed and I couldn't help but feel bad even though I knew that he had to work. I guess that I had hoped that he would wake up next to me. I kicked my legs on the bed simultaneously and quickly got off. It wasn't until then that I realised that I was completely naked and very sore. I heard a buzz on my phone

Hannah: Babe... lunch?

Me: Yeah sure, the usual?

I looked at the bed while waiting for her to reply and I saw a blood stain on the bedding. I mentally slap myself and pulled it off so that I could wash it. I heard my phone buzz just as I'm about to leave the room

Hannah: Yeah the usual and Anne is around she's coming with

Me: Fine...

I left the room and checked for the laundry room though he never mentioned it the previous night. I decided to hand wash the stain before putting it in the machine. I take a shower right after making sure to let the hot water do it's magic. The fact that I smelt like him after I was done put a smile on my... a strong pine masculine scent.

I stood in front of the mirror and was for a minute horrified by my appearance. I had black and blue bruises running from my neck to my tummy; some looked worse than others especially the ones around my neck and chest area

I took a breath "It's ok" I said to myself "No one will notice as long as I keep them covered up, I'll just put on..." then it hit me "shit... I have nothing to wear"
