As time went on I became well adjusted to my job. I got to know all the kids properly especially the trouble makers. I also learnt that putting on heels to school could be very tiresome so I always carried slippers with me

I adopted a routine that would involve me sleeping over at Kevin's place during weekdays since Hannah was rarely around and sometimes I didn't want to sleep alone. I decided to give him some space since he had started to make me feel like I was intruding on his personal space.

As much as I loved teaching little kids... it was tiresome and I always dreaded going home to an empty house, so I was extremely happy when I got home to the smell of burnt food.

"Hannah"

"In here"

I went to the kitchen and threw my bag on the island. There was a batch of freshly burnt cookies on it. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun as she stared at the cookies as if willing them to not be burnt

"They don't look that bad" I said trying to console her

"Don't lie to me... they look terrible"

"They do... they do" I paused "I missed you."

"Awe I missed you too. I'm sorry I'm just..." she shrugged

"Whipped" I suggested

"Yes"

"Dick whipped..."

She laughed "I guess you can say I am"

"He must be good then" I smirked earning a blush from her

"I am not discussing that with you"

"Just how good is he?"

She blushed even harder "Stop"

"Add a don't to that and I'm pretty sure those are two of his favourite words"

"What is wrong with you?"

"Nothing" I shrugged "I just missed my best friend"

"I'm sure Kevin made up for it"

"No... he is tired, grumpy and distant nowadays"

"I'm sure it's not that bad" she comforted and I shook my head

"Actually it is. I don't even bother going to his apartment"

Kevin had been going through a lot at work lately and he had refused to open up to me. I tried to get him to talk to me but half of the time he got mad or brushed it off. I talked to Drake about it and he agreed that something was off but thought he would be betraying his friends trust by telling me about it

Speaking of Drake, him and I had become close due to my lack of friends. We met once in the coffee shop and got to talking. He was good company so we talked often though our friends didn't know about it. He avoided me like the plaque when he was with his friends and called when he wasn't. That's how much he didn't want them to know how much we hang out

"About a week ago I slept over and when he got back he got mad when I leaned in to cuddle"

Hannah cocked an eyebrow "So you're basing all this on the fact that he did not want to cuddle"

"Hannah he got up from his side of the bed coz I was on it and went to the other side"

"Atleast he didn't leave the bed"

"Oh but at some point in the middle of the night he did. I found him on the couch in the morning" She opened her mouth to say something but I shushed her "Naah... If that does not scream 'I don't want to be near you' then I don't know what does. So I haven't been there since"
