When schools finally opened I had to start my internship. I went to a nice little private school not too far from where I lived. Kevin had gotten into the whole role of doctor after his graduation which I had the honour of attending. I remember he sent me a picture of himself in the labcoat I bought him for his birthday on his first day of work after graduating

The picture had the caption Bridget's very own which put a smile on my face. I being the amazing girlfriend I was put him on my lock screen. We made time for each other but it was harder since I came home tired and he would work late most of the time.

Sometimes on weekends I would just go over to his place even when he wasn't home and sleep over. Hannah and Richard's relationship had become more serious which meant that I would spend some nights at home alone. Anne and Drake were doing something, I wouldn't really call it dating but there was something going on between them

I had come to know Vanesssa and Diane more. They even came over to my place where I introduced them to Anne and Hannah who they got along with just fine. Diane might have been a bit of a diva but she was nice and she got on particularly well with Anne.

I woke up early the next morning and got ready for work. I wore high waisted pants with a tucked in blouse and a jacket. I finished the oufit off with a pair of heels. Anne left her car so I was using it to go to and from work. It was better than taking the bus and it made things faster.

I got myself breakfast from the bakery and headed to school. Rachel was already in when I got there. She was opening the windows to the class meaning she had arrived not too long ago

"Morning" I greeted

"Morning Bridget. How was your night?"

"Can't complain. How are hubby and the kids?"

She beamed at the mention of her family. Rachel was married with two kids. Her husband was also a teacher but he taught high school kids at a different school. She was short and plump with a smooth chocolate complexion. She kept her hair nicely short and styled

"They're good. My Carl's sister is getting married this weekend so we'll be heading over"

She had this thing where she used 'My' whenever she was referring to her husband. I found it cute.

"That's great. I like weddings"

"I'm sure you'll have yours soon"

I blushed "I don't think so plus I'm not ready for that stage yet. I still have to finish school and become stable before I can think of that"

She shook her head and smiled "We'll see about that. Come on the kids will be arriving soon"

I got up and followed her outside. We didn't have to wait long for the kids to start arriving. We ferried them to the class as they did. We went on to do the register before they had time to play. Dealing with children required patience because they responded differently to different situations.

There were various activities like circle and play time till about lunch when we were supposed to sit down and eat with the kids. I left my lunch in the car so I went to get it. On my way out I noticed three boys pushing a kid around in the hall way.

It was lunch and all the older kids were expected to be in the cafeteria. I rolled my eyes and walked towards them. I never liked kids who found pleasure in picking on others. I couldn't see the face of the little boy because they were blocking my view

"Hey" I yelled making them freeze. Who would have thought that after high school I would be the one yelling at kids in a hallway "What's going on here?" I asked giving them my best impression of a stern look
