Jess's breathing stopped mid-air when Shaun's face was plastered on the tiny television inside the Diner, her eyes glittered with pride when Shaun's new music video was broadcast. It was indeed an evocative work of art that expresses something of what he's passionate about and Jess couldn't help but feel happy, she waited for this day to finally see his dreams come true.

"Hey, are you feeling alright?" Fred gently tapped her shoulders as her eyes glistened.

She sweetly smiled and nodded. "That man..." She pointed at the screen above her head. Fred followed her gaze and with a confused look, he asked.

"The singer?" He confirmed.

She nodded again. "That is my future husband..." She stated plainly.

The corners of Fred's lips curled involuntarily -- and he fought back hard as his cheeks swelled momentarily with the pressure -- but it was no use. His laughter erupted, echoing down the corridor of the entire diner as he bent over, slapping his knee repeatedly. It gained curious glances from the guest when he didn't contain himself after some time.

"What is so funny?" Jess asked, feeling offended by his outburst. She pouted.

He tried to calm himself a little bit and wiped the tears of joy in the corner of his eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't intend to mock your dreams. It was just hilarious when you said that guy will be your future husband..." He uttered.

"But that is true... He will be someday." She started to reason out, she was about to explain to him that she knew Shaun even in their childhood years when Fred tapped her shoulders again.

"There's nothing wrong in dreaming something for yourself but keep that dream within the reach of reality or else that dream is just something you chase for the rest of your life, okay?" He smirked and paced away from her.

Jess was in awe watching him disappear in front of her. He thought she was bluffing. He might be thinking that she's just another girl getting crazy over a hot celebrity and whose mind has rampaging delusions that one day her hot crush will sweep off her feet and hitch her.

She sighed. "Oh well, she did act like she's just another fanatic, extreme enthusiasm and uncritical devotion..." She whispered as she continued to ridicule herself.

Her eyes went back to the screen, and she smiled. "I am genuinely happy for you." She stated.

Jess decided to leave work early and made a firm decision to see Shaun and personally congratulate him on his new album. She wanted to surprise him as well, that was why she didn't bother informing him that she would drop by.

On her way to the studio where Shaun was working, she passed by a known bakeshop, Jess grabbed the glass handle of the entry door and was welcomed by the experience of the sweet presence of freshly baked treats that never ceases to tempt her whenever she drops by this sides of the city. The moment her foot was set in the baking boutique, there was no turning back. The first view that greeted her at the entrance was the fancy cake display. Even before you can take in the excitement of what was seen, the aroma of hot chocolate, fresh dairy products, and sour fruity juice overwhelms the sensations. A dozen cakes with flamboyant colors draw anyone who glances over to the showcase. A pink swirl of raspberry on a snow-white cheesecake and layers upon layers of chocolate, fresh cream, and spongy cake stacked delightfully truly challenge self-discipline. Strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries oversee the pleasant shades of red while mocha, chocolate, and Oreo balance out the bright effect of the berry family. White chocolate, nuts, and whipped cream bring the color combination to perfection. Only the lighting's glare informs the clear glass, shielding objects of the taste bud pursuit. No wonder that Shaun admires this place.
