We rode the night train

To try and find adventure

And the long ride

Gave me time to think

About how I got here

And how lovely Rose looked

And how she was so carefree

And adventure crazed.

I didn't know if love at sight existed

I had never experienced love before

But I'm pretty sure this feeling

This excitement and euphoria

Could be called love.

The train halted

To yet another stop

As Rose nudged my shoulder.

"This is our stop"

She whispered.

We exited the bus

And all I could see was

Nothingness.

This train station was located

In the middle of nowhere.

Trees surrounded us

A large parking lot

That was mostly vacant

Was the only sign of human life.

"Where are we?"

"Here."

"But why?"

Her lips curled up in a smile

As she hooked her arm around mine.

"So I can teach you

How to let you free your mind

And how to dream."

I sent her a puzzled look

As the bright streetlights

Shined on her face.

"How do you plan on doing that?"

Rose rolled her eyes

Probably at my abundance

Of questions.

We started walking

Away from the tracks

And towards the fields

And the trees.

Away from civilization.

"I plan on letting you dream

Because when no one is around

They can't distract you from them."
