"Let your mind wander."

I let my conscience take me places

That I had only dreamed of visiting

And doing things

I had only dreamed of doing.

We were laying in the field

Simply staring at the sky

Filled with the stars that were our thoughts

And listening to each other breathe.

"What time is it?"

She asked suddenly

Sitting up straight

And jerking me awake.

I slid my phone

Out of my pocket

And the bright screen nearly

Killed my eyes.

"Almost 3:00."

"Shit."

Both of us stood up

And brushed ourselves off

Before walking back to the station

Hand in hand as we had came.

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did."

She rolled her eyes dramatically

Shoving me a bit.

"No, seriously.

What did you dream about?"

I thought for a moment

Pondering whether or not to tell her

That she had been a part of my wishes.

"Should I be honest?"

"Yes."

"Well Rose.

I wished for a lot of things.

I wished for world peace.

I wished to end hunger.

I wished for my parents to be happy

And I wished for my sins to be revoked.

But most importantly
