Chapter Ten- " I will find out who you like "

    I heard my door open, " come on wake up, you got to get to school so you can see Brendon " Cole said.
    " leeeeave " I groaned and rolled over.
    " not till you wake up " he said, I could tell he was smirking.
    I sat up and didn't open my eyes.
    " i'm up " I said.
    " open your eyes " he said.
    " they are open " I didn't even believe what I just said.
    " come on, we got to pick up Judy " he said.
    " fine, i'll be right out " I said.
    I heard the door close, I laid back down and rolled over.
    " get up! " Cole yelled.
    " fine i'm up " I opened my eyes.

    We went and picked up Judy and drove to school.
    " so Judy, did you know Beth here likes Brendon " Cole said.
    " you told him " Judy said in shock.
    " not really " I said.
    " and stop talking about it " I said.
    " don't worry my lips are sealed, but I still have to bug you about it " he smirked.
    I got out of the car and walked into the school and over to my locker.
    " so I bet you hate your brother " Judy said.
    " I will if he says anything " I smiled.
    " maybe it's a good thing if he says something " she said as I opened my locker.
    " and how is that? " I asked.
    " well you know, what if he likes you back " Judy said and looked down at the ground.
    " I doubt that would ever happen " I said and closed my locker.
    " what are you two talking about " Grace smirked.
    " something personal and I would love it if you left " I smiled.
    " I don't think your brother would like to know your being mean to me " she pouted.
    " i'm being mean to you, your being mean to us you little- ".
    " were going to class " Judy cut in and pulled me down the hallway.
    " bitch " I finished my sentence.
    " thanks for pulling me out of there " I said.
" no problem, I didn't want to see you get slapped in the face " she smiled as we walked into the classroom.
Chance walked in a couple minutes after.
" I just can't stand her, why does she hate us? " I asked.
" I really wish I could answer that " Judy sighed.
" who are we talking about? " Chance asked.
I turned to face him, " Grace " I sighed.
" she's the reason why I just came into class since her and your brother were making out " Chance said.
" yeah " I rolled my eyes.
" I can't stand her " Judy said.
" I don't know what her problem is " Chance said.
" me neither " I sighed.
" ok wait, do you need a ride to Sofia's tonight? i'm picking up Justin " Chance asked.
" yeah sure, but i'm actually going to be in the music room, so just come and find me there " I said.
" ok " Chance said.
The bell rang and the teacher stood in front of the class.
" ok so i've been known for being very lenient so that is all changing today, so no talking aloud " he said and went to sit down.
" ok then " I said and looked over at Judy as she pulled out her computer and put on her headphones and started to make beats.

I pulled out my notebook filled with drawings and started to make the cover art for the mix track.
It was half of let you down and half him and I's cover arts put together.

The rest of the day I spent in the music room working on sounds for some other songs.
" no one can rewrite the stars, how can you say you'll be mine, everything keeps us apart " I sang as I wrote down some cords from the piano.
" all I want is to fly with you, all I want fall with you, so just give me all of you " I sang.
" working on some songs? " I turned around to see Brendon walking in my direction.
" yeah " I smiled as he said down on the bench beside me.
" so you didn't tell me, you and Judy got a record deal " Brendon smiled.
" yeah, that's where I was on the weekend " I smiled.
" good job " he smiled.
" thanks " I smiled.
" so what were you working on? " he asked.
" just writing some different cords to one of my favorite songs from my favorite movie " I smiled.
" can't wait to hear it " he smiled.
" hey Beth, ready to go " I turned to see Chance.
" yeah, sorry I was just working on the songs " I said.
" he knows " Brendon said.
" wait he knows " Chance walked fully into the room.
" yeah you both know " I said.
" how? " Chance asked.
" well Brendon recognize my singing voice and Chance's uncle is the record dude " I smiled.
" cool " Brendon said.
" wait where's Justin? " I asked.
" he's mom said he already left " Chance said.
" then we should get going, see yeah later " I said getting up from the bench and grabbing my bag.
We got into Chance's car.
" I thought you only had a motorcycle " I said.
" well this is my mom's car " he explained.
" oh " I said.
" you can put on a song if you want " he said.
" ok " I smiled.
I put on The Other Side, from the greatest showman.
I started to sing the lyrics.
" really this song " he said.
" what it's a good song " I smiled.
" oh damn, suddenly you're free to fly " I sang.
" don't you know that i'm ok with this up town part I get to play " I sang.
" why this song? " he asked.
" it's a good song " I said again.
" well it's intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly so what percentage of the show would I be taking " I sang.
" well fair enough you want a piece of all the action, i'll give you seven we can shake and make it happen " Chance sang, I was shocked, but I kept singing.
" I wasn't born this morning eighteen would be just fine " I sang.
" why not just go ahead and ask for nickels on a dime " he sang.
" fifthteen " I sang.
" i'd to eight " he sang.
" twelve " I sang.
" maybe nine " he sang.
" ten " I said.
I let the song play without singing.
" I didn't know you could sing " I said.
" i'm bad at it " he said.
" no your not, if you were bad then you wouldn't have sung just now " I said.
" just don't tell anyone, especially not my uncle he will make me sign a record deal on the spot " he said.
" don't worry my lips are sealed " I smiled.
We pulled in the driveway to see Justin's car already there.
" so he is here " I said getting out of the car.
We walked up to the door and knocked no one answered so Chance opened the door.
" hello? " he said.
We both walked in and stopped in our tracks when we saw Sofia on Justin's lap and they were making out.
" hey guys how you doing! " I yelled.
They both turned to look at up.
" nothing, how long were you there? " Sofia asked.
" not that long " Chance said.
" let's just get to work " Justin said.
" yeah " I said.
The whole night Justin and Sofia were flirting making Chance and I really uncomfortable.
" so were good to present on friday?" Sofia asked.
" yup " I smiled.
" will see you two tomorrow " Chance said before we walked out to the car.
" well that was awkward " I said once we were in the car.
" tell me about it " he said, we looked at each other and laughed.
" want to stop and get some ice cream? " Chance asked.
" sure, nothing weird could happen there " I smiled.

We sat down at the table after we got our ice cream.
" you know it's weird to see you and Brendon talking, you two never used to talk " he said.
" believe me, i'm still getting used to it too " I said.
" I can remember only you talking to your brother, Justin, Judy and me " he smiled, I just remembered that Chance still doesn't know I had a crush on him.
" didn't you have a crush on me? " he asked.
" how did you know that " I said taking a lick of my ice cream.
" your brother told me before I moved " he said.
" I can not trust him with anything.... oh shit " I said.
" what, do you still have a crush on me or something? " he asked.
" no I don't, but Cole just found out who I like last night, you don't think he would tell them do you? " I asked looking up at him.
" unless they move away, I don't think so " he said.
" seriously " I said.
" no he's your brother he wouldn't do that " he said.
" if he does i'm seriously going to kill him " I said looking away.
" so who do you like then? " he asked, I looked back over.
" i'm not telling you " I said.
" who do you like? " I asked.
" now why would I tell you if your not going to tell me " he smirked.
" you got me there " I smiled.
My phone buzzed.

Cole- hey mom wants you home now
Beth- are you sure you don't want me home?
Cole- no mom wants you home
Beth- fine be home soon

" Cole wants me home " I said.
" ok " Chance smiled.
We got into the car, the radio was left on silent. Chance turned it up a little bit so it wasn't so awkward like it was in the ice cream place.
Why did I never know that Cole told Chance I liked him. How did I not find out? I can't believe that Chance even brought that up, way to make me feel uncomfortable.
" you ok? " I turned my head to look at Chance, we were in my driveway.
" yeah, I was just thinking " I said.
" ok, well see you tomorrow " he smiled.
" yup, and I will find out who you like " I smiled and got out of the car.
I walked into the house to see Cole sitting on the couch with the t.v off.
" so why did mom want me home? " I asked as I took off my shoes.
" well she wanted you to pass me the converter " Cole smiled.
" you lazy ass, get it yourself, oh and thanks for telling Chance I used to like him " I smiled.
" wait how did you find that out? " he asked sitting up.
" Chance and I are friends now, he told me, now i'm really trusting you too keep that I like Brendon a secret, or your going to die " I smiled and walked down the hallway and into my room.
" wait what about the converter! " Cole yelled.
" get it yourself! " I laughed.
