Chapter Twenty Two- " why did you come? "

Cole had gone up north for the weekend with Grace's family, and my parents we out on another work mission. So luckily for me I got the house to myself.
" see you in two days " I smiled pushing Cole out the door.
" be safe, don't blow up the house " he said.
" yeah yeah I got it now go have fun " I said closing the door.
I looked around and took a deep breath, " finally some peace and quiet " I smiled, I walked over to the couch and sat down putting my feet up.
I took another deep breath when my phone started to ring.
" yes " I picked it up.
" hey, so we're going next weekend to record Prom Queen right? " Judy asked.
" yeah we are " I smiled.
" ok I just couldn't remember, see you on Monday bye " the called ened.
I turned the radio on and started to dance and sing.

It was later in the night and I needed to have a shower, I walked into the bathroom turned on the shower.
I was humming to myself as I stepped out of the shower.
" loving you was young wild and free " I sang quietly.
I heard something from down the hallway, I wrapped my towel around my body and opened the door.
" hey! Cole? Mom? Dad? " I said walking down the hallway and into my room, I jumped.
" Jesus! Brendon! " I yelled.
" what are you doing here? " I asked taking a deep breath.
" your brother wanted me to come over " he said.
" of course, how did you get in? " I asked.
" I know where the spare key is " he said.
" of course you do " I said.
" I can go " he said.
" no it's fine stay, it's better than being in the house alone, but I do need to change soo... i'll meet you in the living room " I said.
" yeah " he said.
He walked past me and stopped.
" or- ".
" Brendon, living room, now " I said looking at him.
" i'm going " he said closing the door.
It opened again, " well- ".
" Brendon! " I said.
" ok i'm going " he said.
I waited till I couldn't hear his footsteps anymore, I walked over and grabbed my pajamas. I walked out to the livingroom my hair now up in a bun and still sopping wet.
" nice pajamas " he smiled.
" thanks " I rolled my eyes.
" I was planning on watching a movie tonight " I said walking over to sit beside him.
" ok what movie? " he asked.
" everything everything " I said.
" oh yeah I love that movie " he smiled.
" really? " I crossed my arms.
" what's it about then? " I asked.
" people wanting everything..... everything " he said.
I raised my eyebrows, " ok fine I haven't watched it, but it sounds good " he smiled.
" i'm going to make popcorn " I said getting up.
I guess it was weird how he was here, and how Cole invited him over, he must really trust Brendon, well I guess they are friends.
I got onto the counter so I could reach the popcorn, I jumped back down and placed it in the microwave, I walked over to the fridge to grab out some drinks. I closed the fridge and jumped when I saw Brendon.
" you have to stop scaring me " I said.
" sorry, it's not my fault you get scared easily " he said.
I grabbed down a bowl for the popcorn when my phone started to ring.
" hey " I smiled.
" hey so my uncle was wondering what's the next song you were thinking of? " Chance asked.
" Prom Queen " I said.
" oh yeah, I think you told me that, thank tho " he said.
" no problem " I said.
" have to get going see you on monday " he said.
" yeah see you " I said hanging up.
" who was that? " Brendon asked.
" it was just Chance " I smiled, as the microwave beeped.
" oh " he said.
I poured the popcorn into the bowl.
" popcorns ready " I smiled.
We walked out to the living room and sat down on the couch.
I grabbed the remote and went to netflix and found the movie.
I grabbed a hand pull of popcorn ate it then took a sip of ice tea.
Brendon had his arm around the couch, throughout the movie I could feel it slowly moving down till I felt his hand touch my shoulder. I smiled to myself well keeping my eyes on the tv. My eye slowly started to close and I slowly started to lean over to rest my head on Brendons shoulder.
He kissed my forehead, I looked up at him.
" what was that for? " I asked.
" I don't know, I just wanted to kiss you " he smiled.
I smiled and looked back at the tv.
" Brendon? " I said still looking at the tv.
" yeah? ".
" why did you come over tonight? " I asked.
" your brother wanted me to " he said.
" I know that " I sat up, " but you could have said you were coming, but then never came, so why did you come? " I asked again.
" I came because I wanted to hang out with my girlfriend " he smiled.
" and I knew you would probably want the company " he added.
" you were right about that " I smiled.
I kissed him then laid my head back down on his shoulder so we could finish watching the movie.

Sorry for the extremely short Chapter, I just wanted to give people some more insight to how much Brendon actually cares for Bethany, but I hope your liking the book so far.
