Chapter Twenty One- " blushing mode "

I heard my phone buzzing, but it wasn't my alarm.
I opened my eyes and looked at my clock, it was 2am.
I grabbed my phone to see two texts from Brendon.

Brendon- hey sorry for kissing you I know it was really early and I shouldn't have done it
Brendon- and sorry if I wake you
Beth- it's fine and no you didn't wake me
Brendon- are you sure it's fine
Beth- it's fine as long as you don't run away
Brendon- ok i'm confused, but don't worry I wont run away
Beth- promise?
Brendon- promise
Beth- ok good, now i'm going to bed see you
Brendon- see you night

I set my phone back down and smiled, so I guess he's not going to run away.
I rolled over and squinted my eyes open it was now 7am.
I crawled out of bed and got changed. I walked down the hallway, grabbed a bagel and popped it in the toaster.
Once it was ready I walked over and sat down at the table, I took a bite out of my bagle then set it down, it's quiet to quiet.
I opened Coles bedroom door.
" get up! " I yelled.
He rolled off the bed and onto the floor.
" i'm up " he groaned.
I shook my head and sighed " just get up, we have school " I said.
" I know " he said standing up.
" do you? " I said turning around walking back into the kitchen.
I grabbed my bag and was ready to go by the time Cole walked out of the bathroom, I through a fruit snack at him.
" eat this we have to get going " I said.
I hopped in the car and Cole made his way slowly to the passenger seat.
" come on! " I yelled and started the car to drive to Judy's house.

We got to the school, and we made our way to first period without running into Grace.
" he kissed me " I said.
" who? " Judy asked.
" Brendon, last night " I said.
" wait, slow down, Brendon kissed you and what you two have only been on.... two dates " she said.
" I know " I said.
" your leaving something out " she crossed her arms.
" he texted me a 2 last night and said he was sorry, I said it was fine as long as he didn't run away from me " I said.
" you have to be kidding me " she said.
" he's not Justin " she added.
" I know, I... I just couldn't have another boy not talk to me for two year after kissing me " I said.
" well if he did that, he would be a total jerk and I would not have let you go on a date with him in the first place " she said.
" thanks, but I just know it's going to be weird in English today " I said.
" don't worry I have an idea " she said.
" what are you going to do? " I asked.
" just give me his number " she said.
I gave her his number.
" ok, now tell me what you going to do " I said.
" you'll see " she smirked.
" why is she smirking, smirking is never a good thing " Chance said sitting down.
" I wish I could tell you, but I really can't " I said.
Judy just kept smiling the whole class and it was making me very nervous.

We walked into english class and sat down in our normal spots, all of a sudden Brendon sat down in the always empty seat beside me.
I looked over at Judy, " you have to be kidding me " I glared.
" what? " she asked.
" once school is over, i'm going to figure out who you like " I said.
" good luck, and that's not a threat " she said.
I just shook my head and looked up to the front of the room with Brendon in the corner of my eye.
" ok so you'll need to look at the board for your groups, then start working on your projects ".
I looked up to the board to see I was paired up with Judy and...... Brendon.
I pulled out a piece of paper and wrote all our names on it.
" ok, what are we going to do? " I asked.
" well we could talk about all the hidden symbols that are in the book " Brendon said.
" sounds good to me " Judy smiled.
" yeah ok, what are the symbols in the book? " I asked.
" well, horses, the whip, what else is there? " Brendon said.
" maybe..... Yeah I have no ideas " Judy said.
" how about, we think about it for the day and tomorrow's class we can say what we thought of " I smiled.
" great " Brendon smiled.

The bell rang and we all rushed out of the classroom.
" I just have to stop at my locker " Judy said.
" ok " I said and continued to walk.
" hey! " I turned around to see Brendon running up to me.
" hey? " I smiled we stopped in the hallway.
" are you ok, in english I could feel the tension between us " he said.
" yeah, i'm great, I just don't know how to do this " I said.
" how to do what? " he asked.
" date " I said.
He laughed.
" what? I don't, you've been in how many relationship? Two? " I said.
" i've been in one relationship that lasted two months and that was in grade 7 " he said.
" still " I said.
" Bethany, this if you want to continue would be my first real relationship " he said.
" so we would be figuring it out together " he added.
I took a deep breath, " how about tonight I come over and we can talk more about it? " he asked.
I nodded, " sure, that'd be great " I smiled.
" ready to go? " Judy asked as she walked up to us.
" yeah " I smiled.
" see you later " Brendon nodded as we walked into the change room.
" what were you two talking about? " Judy asked.
" nothing " I said.
" your lips were moving so you had to be talking " she said.
" we were just chatting " I said.
" I know your going to tell me soon " she smiled.
" will I? " I asked.

I sat at my desk listing to music and writing on my computer.
I was moving my head around when I felt a tap on my back.
I took out my head phone and turned around to see Brendon.
" oh hey " I smiled.
" did Cole let you in? " I asked.
" yeah he did " he smiled.
We both sat down on the bed.
" so " he said.
" don't make it awkward " I said.
" what else was I going to say " he said.
I shrugged.
" why did you last night ask me to not run away?" he asked.
" I don't know, I was half asleep " I lied, I couldn't tell him about Justin.
" ok " he nodded.
I turned to fully face him.
" ok so how do we do this? " I asked.
" don't ask me " he said.
" you've dated someone for two months and yes that is short, but it's still something, I haven't dated anyone, so I do not know how to do this " I said.
" ok, well we need to have trust, that's something that I know " he said.
" that's kinda a given, but yes I agree with that " I said.
" and we should also tell each other if we want what's happening to continue " he said.
" do you want it to continue? " I asked.
" well yes I do, but I don't know about you " he smiled.
" I do want it to continue " I smiled.
" ok, so will work on this whole relationship thing together, and we will get through it together " he said.
" ok " I nodded.
" ok " he smiled and placed his hand on top of mine.
I looked down and smiled, he lifted my head back up and kissed me.
I pulled away, " stop it, your going to make me blush " I smiled.
" maybe I like it when you blush " he smiled and kissed me again.
I shook my head, " stop " I laughed.
" why, it's fun " he smiled.
" yeah, still your making me blush " I smiled.
" it's cute " he smiled leaning in to kiss me again.
" stop! " I laughed throwing a pillow at him.
" i'm good " he smiled.
" and this is why i'm an outsider, because I'm so weird " I said.
" yeah your an outsider, but your a cute one " he smiled.
" you are going to make my face be stuck in blushing mode " I smiled and we both stared to laugh.
" blushing mood is a good mood " he smiled, Blushing mode was truly a good mood.
