Y/N's POV

"I need to talk to you." He says, looking at the ground. "But, we can't talk here, there's too many people..."

He leads me to this alley way near the school. "What was it you wanted to talk about??" I ask, annoyed.

"Uhhh, ummm...never mind! It's not important." He starts walking out of the alleyway. I follow him out.

"Are you sure?" I ask, catching up to him. He just simply nods. "Ok then." I walk next to him.

He walks a little faster to get to his home faster. I should probably do that too. My mom might be worried about me.

I start moving faster. He turns left, while I turn right. I go straight to my house. When my house is in my sight. I see mom's car still isn't there.

She must have a late work day today. She's been having these a lot. We desperately need money right now. We are running out, and fast.

I head to the kitchen. I look around the kitchen, searching for food. We are almost out.

We have some leftover lasagna, spaghetti, and homemade pizza. Plus some more add on food.

We needed to buy some groceries, but we don't have enough money. I head upstairs, skipping dinner. When I get up there I see a note that wasn't there before.

It read, "Dear Y/N, I have to work late today, again. I'm sorry dear. It's just, we need the money, so don't expect me to be home everyday. Don't even get your hopes up. I won't be there. I will also be leaving early every morning, and going on the weekends. Sorry again. I love you.
From Mom."

Oh mom, I could always get a job. I sit on my bed, crying my eyes out. I will never be able to see my mom.

That's it, I'm gonna get a job. I'll get one on Friday, so in four days. But, what job should I get?

I check the time, and the clock reads, "9:30 PM" and I decide to go to sleep earlier than usual.

I get ready for bed, in my pjs, and take my makeup off. I get in bed, and fall into a dreamless sleep.
