jeongguk huffed as he fell backwards onto his bed, hoseok sitting with his legs crossed and his back against the wall. "i just wanna know how to talk to him," jeongguk sighed, rubbing his eyes. "you know, without being all like 'hey, let's see how close we can get before we can practically taste the sexual tension.'"

hoseok hummed. "ditto."

"i don't even know his favorite color!" he exclaimed, sitting up. "or what music he listens to, or his favorite food, or what he likes to binge watchㅡor if he even does that in the first place."

"well, you could just ask him-"

"i know, i know. i thought of that a long time ago. but every time i try to ask him a simple question about what he likes, i clam up and hug him or something. i don't know, it just feels really awkward trying to ask him."

"i guess you could just do the next best thing and just play twenty questions through text," hoseok said, shrugging. "i mean, it's basically just like small talk, so i don't think it'll be a big deal for taehyung."

"hobi," jeongguk said, eyes wide.

the aforementioned rubbed his neck nervously. "you don't have to do that, obviously! it was just a suggestion-"

"you're a genius." jeongguk exclaimed, kissing hoseok's forehead in his excitement before wrapping his arms around the boy, shaking him. "oh my god, you're literally an angel."

hoseok giggled. "thanks? you're being a bit dramatic, gguk."

"so?"

"you've literally never been clingy before you stopped 'hating' taehyung, so it's just a bit weird, i guess," hoseok replied.

"you could say that i had a bit of an epiphany." jeongguk grabbed for his phone and unlocked it.

"whatever caused that epiphany made you a lot more likeable than before, if i'm honest with you," hoseok said, smiling. "maybe everyone's having an epiphany too, or something similar, because everyone is acting different."

jeongguk scrolled through his contacts. "what do you mean by that?"

"jimin seems to be less, you know, out there and namjoon isn't being as much of an asshole and yoongi has been really quiet around me and taehyung has been literally everywhere with his emotions and i'm sexually frustrated."

jeongguk noticed how he left out seokjin, but it went without saying that hobi knew whatever was happening with the older wasn't something to bring up in such a joking manner, and jeongguk appreciated that about hoseok.

"it is kinda weird, now that i think about. thanks for pointing that out. but what are you sexually frustrated for?" jeongguk hummed.

"i don't know!" hoseok groaned. "i was originally crushing on yoongi, but then i had fucking sex with jiminㅡand i'm not gonna lie and say that jimin wasn't the most beautiful person ever in that moment, because he was. anyway, i'm pretty sure that jimin thinks it was just a mistake, but still! the feelings are there.

"so i started to think that maybe i liked jimin instead, but whenever yoongi talked to him, i'd get jealous and i was confused on who i was jealous of. i'm still confused," hoseok sighed. "maybe i should just keep telling myself that it's jimin, because that would make my mind a bit less confused."

jeongguk hummed. "i wish i could help you out more. i'm still sorta working out this whole crush thing, and i've obviously never done good with that on my own."

"yeah, considering you pretended to hate his guts for almost every single millisecond you were around him." hoseok rolled his eyes. "look, i don't care if neither of them ever take an interest in me in that way, i just want the three of us to not be so awkward around each other."

jeongguk nodded his head. he already had a plan in mind.
