Bree and Winny had hardly been able to be introduced before the newest vampire had taken off in search of her friend Fred. It had been revealed that she and Fred had both been a part of Victoria's newborn army, and Fred had peeled off in Seattle with the promise of meeting Bree and her deceased mate if they survived the fight. Bree had been pretty torn up over the loss of Diego, as would any vampire over the loss of their mate, but the thought of Fred kept her together. She also left with the knowledge that there was another way, that she didn't need to kill humans to survive. That was another weight off of her shoulder.
It was a month later that the Cullens heard from the Denalis that both Bree and Fred had made it to their coven, both of their eyes already on their way to being gold. Carlisle was very pleased at the news.
