Note: you have the ability to control ice and you are unable to control it(think of it as Elsa from Frozen). After nearly freezing the village(yes, you live in a village) you used to live in, you were found by Martian Manhunter who had taken you in. It was difficult for you to talk to others and try to get along with you, you're normally by yourself, nose stuck in a book, trying to block everyone out. M'gann tries to communicate you, both physically and mentally, but you always blocked her out both ways. The only one that seems to be close to you is Superboy.

"Hey, Y/n!" Megan greeted you, you said nothing as you continue reading your book. "You're going to run into something or someone if you keep doing that," Megan points out, again you said nothing. "Y/n, I just want to talk. Is that so hard to ask for?" Megan whines, you said nothing again and the crowd of students became thicker making you lose Megan.
"Y/n, come on. Talk to me," Megan demands. "M'gann, leave her alone. Can't you see she doesn't want to talk?" Connor answered back. "But Connor-," M'gann starts. "M'gann, just leave her alone. Give her, her privacy."
M'gann indeed did leave you alone after that. You slipped into English and sat in the back, nose stuck in your book again, you heard a chair next to yours move back, you glanced up and saw Connor sitting beside you. He always does this. Sitting with you all the way in the back so that you didn't feel lonely.
Even during lunch, he sat with you. He didn't bother asking you what book you were reading or what it was about, every day you always came back with a new book and it was rather shocking to see someone who reads that fast. Books were delicate things to you. You remember once where you couldn't touch anything because if you touch anything it turns into ice until you discovered gloves can prevent you from doing it.
That's what scares you. You nearly froze your entire village because of your ability. You nearly froze Aqualad for heaven's sake once because of a sudden jump scare Wally and Robin had decided to spring. You haven't come out of your bedroom for five days because of that, Connor almost broke down the door when you didn't come out of it when you were nearing the sixth day.
You didn't trust anyone. You didn't trust yourself. You were afraid. Afraid of what will happen if you touch someone. You stayed away, and that's how you wanted to keep it. When school was over, you quietly packed your belongings up, then slipped out of the mountain. The team was going on a mission without you, Batman told you aren't needed for this mission which gave you the perfect time to leave.
After you left, you disappeared. No one knew what happened to you. They looked everywhere for you. From a transparent ice castle, was you, you were happy to be alone, away from others. You felt safe, happy even. You felt someone entering the castle. "Hello, Y/n. You've run for a very long time. It's time for you to come home."
