Note: you were once a lonely mermaid until Kaldur befriended you, you cannot walk on land so Kaldur comes to visit you at your secret meeting place. Wally got curious and convinced the rest of the team to follow him.

Requested by: no one

Wally's always been wondering where Aqualad keeps disappearing off to. So, one day, he convinced the others to follow him with Wally. "I don't think this is a good idea, Walls," Robin admits, trudging after his friend. "Shush!" Wally hisses, he peers over a rock. Kaldur looks around, making sure no one was around before slipping through two boulders. The others quickly followed him.
"How did you convince us to come with you?" Artemis grumbled. "Oh, come on. Aren't you a bit curious about this?" Wally asked. "Nope," Artemis said. "You're no fun," Wally pouts. "Shut up," Connor snaps. "Do you hear that?" Everyone stopped and heard soft singing. A feminine voice singing.

Upon one summer's morning
I carefully did stray
Down by the Walls of Wapping
Where I met a sailor gay
The team got closer to the singing, they all dove into cover.

Conversing with a young lass
Who seem'd to be in pain
Saying, William, when you goI fear you'll ne'er return again
My heart is pierced by Cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my jolly sailor bold

They found Aqualad in some lake with a girl. You.

His hair it hangs in ringlets
His eyes as black as coal
My happiness attend him
Wherever he may go

You rested your forehead against his and continued singing.

From Tower Hill to Blackwall
I'll wander, weep and moan
All for my jolly sailor
Until he sails home

You both went under the water, yet your voice was still heard.

My heart is pierced by Cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my jolly sailor bold

Wally quickly ran towards the water and checked underwater only to gap as he ran back. Mermaid. You were a mermaid.

My father is a merchant
The truth I now will tell
And in great London City
In opulence doth dwell
Underwater, you and Kaldur swam together while singing.

His fortune doth exceed
300,000 gold
And he frowns upon his daughter
Who loves a sailor bold

He caught you then swung you around.

A fig for his riches
His merchandise and gold
True love has grafted my heart
Give me my sailor bold
My heart is pierced by Cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my jolly sailor bold

You rested your head against his shoulder.

Should he return in pov'rty
From o'er the ocean far
To my tender bosom
I'll press my jolly tar

On land, the team was staring at the lake.

My sailor is as smiling
As the pleasant month of May
And often we have wandered
Through Ratcliffe Highway
They can still hear your singing from far away

Many a pretty blooming
Young girl we did behold
Reclining on the bosom
Of her jolly sailor bold

"When do you think they will come back?" M'gann asked. "Who knows." Robin answers.

My heart is pierced by Cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my jolly sailor bold
Then you and Kaldur slowly swam back, you were still singing.

My name is Maria
A merchant's daughter fair
And I have left my parents
And three thousand pounds a year

"The singing is getting closer," Connor warns, the team quickly dove back into cover.

Come all you pretty fair maids
Whoever you may be
Who love a jolly sailor
That plows the raging sea

Kaldur pulled himself out of the lake, you popped your head up from the lake and rested your head on top of your arms.

While up aloft in storm
From me his absence mourn
And firmly pray arrive the day
He's never more to roam

You reached up to cup his cheeks.

My heart is pierced by Cupid
I disdain all glittering gold
There is nothing can console me
But my jolly sailor bold
Then you both shared a kiss. When Kaldur pulled away. "I know all of you are here."
