72nd Hunger Games is today, and you hate the idea of it. Mags finished braiding your hair while your brother, Finnick, watched Mags finish braiding your hair. "Remember what I told you?" Finnick asked, placing a hand on your shoulder. "Yeah, don't go for the Cornucopia, look for high ground, cover, and a water source," you listed off. "Correct," said Finnick. The alarm went off. "Time to go, kiddo."
As you walked to the stand, the Peace Keeper took your hand and got a small sample of your blood. "Alright. You're good to go." The Peace Keeper told you, you nodded then continued on your way. A flash of red captured your attention. Roy. Roy slowed down, letting you catch up with him. "Hey," Roy greeted, you slipped your hand into his. "Hey," Roy greeted back. "You ready?" You shook your head as no. "Are you?" Roy squeezed your hand. "Never ready for this."
District 4. That's the district you and Roy are from. You and Roy split up, hiding to the right sections. That's when it all began. The video of the reason why the Hunger Games was created was played, and now, the moment you've been dreading. The choosing.
"Y/n Odair." You shut your eyes, then started to move towards the stage. No one volunteered for you. Everyone knows you're the younger sister of Finnick Odair. The male tribute has been chosen. "Roy Harper."
You grimaced. Roy made it to the stage. Two friends. Forced into an arena of survival or death. Saying goodbye to your family was difficult, the thought of having to kill Roy was even harder. You held onto a small trident necklace your brother had given to you before getting shoved into the train. You felt a hand slipping into yours. Roy.
Either one of you makes it out alive, or both of you are dead. Truthfully, you would rather die than come home without Roy by your side. The Capital came to view, you straightened up, watching the scenery change. As the train stopped, you saw flashing, a huge crowd was waiting for you and Roy.

~time skip~(I'm going to skip to the part where you actually go in. I'm running out of time again)

Roy pulled you up so that you both were on a tree branch. "Thanks," you breathed out. "Anytime," Roy panted out. Half of the tributes were already dead because of the Cornucopia, Roy nearly lost his life if it weren't for you throwing your trident at the tribute from 2. "Get some sleep, Y/n," Roy told you. "I'll keep watch."
You rested your head against Roy's shoulder. "Goodnight, Roy."

I don't know if I should do a part 2 to this. I feel like I'm going to mess up.
