Now she was sitting at his car while he drove around the crowded streets of Los Angeles, Eve sat at the front anxiously, her heartbeats echoing through her chest, her fingers began to tug the fabric of her skirt trying to ease her anxiety, being around him was full of uncertainty, you could never know what was actually gonna happen.

He noticed her nervousness from the way she avoided his gaze, it was obvious she knew he was looking at her, but she didn't dare to look back... Ivan's mind couldn't help but start wondering...

Could she be scared of him?

Then he felt it, he felt how is heart sunk at the thought of that, usually, he wouldn't be bothered if someone was scared of him, he got used to it, it was part of the his curse, the path he so stupidly decided to take.

Even then, he worried, he didn't want Eve to be afraid of him because she was different from the rest of the world, she saw him with completely different eyes, he sensed all kinds of positive emotions when he was around her.

Just as he had seen the excitement in her eyes when she finally saw him standing there outside of her school, he had to say something but he didn't knew what exactly, so, deciding not to think much about it he did something he hadn't done in a really long time.

He put his arm on top of hers and when there was no rejection to his gentle touch he slowly intertwined their fingers and as they did he couldn't help but think they fitted perfectly together, as parts of a puzzle that may be far away but they always come back to where they belong.

Eve began to relax and even though she was still overwhelmed with uncertainty Ivan's touch was reassuring, Ivan sighed, building the courage to say what he was going to say, it was so hard and easy at the same time.

"You know I'll never hurt you, right?" Eve detected something in his voice, something she would rarely get to see in future when coming from him, she sensed fear.

And just as that word popped up in her brain Ivan's grip on his hand slightly tightened as he anxiously waited for her response. She stared at him, thinking.

Everything about him exhaled danger, something to be afraid of because the type of danger he exhaled seemed somehow lethal...but why did she feel so safe around him, it was simply crazy to think about, she barely even knew the guy, for Christ sake!

But even then...

She couldn't help but blindly say "Of course I know that" a small smile appeared on her lips as she said so and that's how he knew she was being truthful, she would never lie to him, he knew that.

It was true, she never lied, she just wasn't that type of girl what Ivan didn't knew or even realize was that along the way, he would be the one teaching her how to do it, whether they liked it or not they would be bonded by both love and lies and it would be hard to know which one was stronger.

Ivan parked at a building that didn't look all too good and anxiety hit Genevieve again, nevertheless, he opened the door for her and she could help but look at the place worriedly but as if he could read her thoughts he said "I know it doesn't look good but believe it'll be worth it.

The blue eyed boy extended his hand to her, giving her some confidence she desperately needed, Eve couldn't help but hold tight onto the boy's hand as he took her inside.

There wasn't any elevator, just the almost infinite trail of stairs, Ivan smiled at her sweetly and said "Come on, trust me" he pulled her a little and she looked into his eyes, there was no way she could actually say no to that boy.

So she cautiously went up, hearing the steps crunch beneath her and make sounds that really got in her nerves, Eve held onto his hand as if his touch represented the sanity she felt she was losing.

Soon, they were all the way up, in the rooftop of that enormous building being greeted by a breathtaking view, Eve was dazzled looking at all the colors around her, the way the city itself seem so small and far away, the tones of light blue coloring the infinite sky and the faded clouds that adorned it.

Ivan knew it was beautiful and he smiled, not at the sky, but her, he admired how her small features lighten up with the sun, how there was no more anxiety or nervousness in her expression but only fascination for what was in front of her.

But the only view Ivan needed to run out of breath was her, even when she finally let go of his hand and stepped closer to the sky, he didn't stop looking at her "This is just... beautiful" she murmured and he stepped closer to her, both of them leaning their arms on the very edge.

Everything was quiet, you could barely here the people talking or even the traffic, it was just so peaceful and calming at the same time, the pair looked at each other, at the same time, it was as if they were in sync.

No words were spoken, there wasn't really any distance between the two, their elbows were touching and they just looked at each other, surprisingly Ivan was the first one to draw a smile upon his lips. Eve couldn't help but think his smile was so beautiful and genuine it made her heart go crazy.

Then his eyes landed on her pumped lips, he just couldn't help it, but that meant taking a step into something he didn't even knew if he was ready for, but it felt so right to be with her...

He couldn't help but lean in and both of them seemed nervous, what would happen after this? Would he actually kiss her?

As he drew closer they realized this was actually happening, it wasn't just a dream, but the moment he caressed her cheek the ringtone of his phone began to buzz, he sighed, breaking their closeness.

As much as he wanted to, he knew he couldn't ignore the call. Specially when he read Dom's name on the screen "What?" He asked irritated

"We need you here, now" the call was ended after that
