Days had gone by and Eve wasn't herself. At first Ivan thought it was just in his head, his very typical paranoia.

Maybe he was just imagining this, but after a few days of analyzing his girlfriend's behavior, somehow he knew something wasn't right.
It wasn't just in his head, Eve was definitely hiding something from him, but why? Most importantly what.

She was always avoiding him, always "too busy" and she wasn't sleeping that much either.

Ivan felt uneasy, he had no idea what she could be hiding from him and as days past everyone seemed to know what he didn't.

One day, while walking by the training room he couldn't help but eavesdrop as he heard a certainly interesting statement coming from Cameron's lips.

"I can't lie to Ivan and he's already suspecting!"
"Cam please!" The mentioned girl sighed
"Look, I know it won't be easy, but you're trying to hide something from someone who's been trained his whole life to find secrets. You need to tell him"

Ivan's jaw clenched, Cam also knew? What was so bad he couldn't find out about it? He left not wanting to know anything else about the subject.

There was a mission that same day, this time it was only the Archangel, Cameron, Ivan and two of the most outstanding soldiers.

For this specific task, they had settle a pending payment, all five of them got out of the car, also known as Black Panther.
The building was completely grey and it almost looked abandoned.

"You can't hide forever Flynn" the girl exclaimed, her words echoing through the building, shortly after a blonde haired boy showed up.

"Oh, hey Archangel. Didn't expect your visit, I mean if I had I would've cleaned up first" Eve pulled out the gun, the bore of the firearm being around 50.

Flynn couldn't help but smile rather smugly as the two people behind him also pulled out their guns.

"Oh sweet Flynn, there's no real need for this to be an armed conflict whatsoever" the girl cooed
"I find that hard to believe since you're the one who pulled a revolver first, which it's still pointed at my head, if I may add" he said with irony, nevertheless. The Archangel never put her weapon down
"Think of it as more of an stimulant. Just pay us pack and we can all live in peace" the boy stopped to think before looking at Eve
"Yeah... no"

Suddenly fire was opened and all The Circle members were fast enough to hide even when the fire kept going.
Only Rosen and the Archangel hid in the same spot, Cameron whispered something in her ear and looked rather agitated as she spoke.

Ivan watched the whole scene and wondered why did she looked so worried, specially went Eve's expression seemed serious and she hissed through her teeth as if she was annoyed at whatever Cameron had just told her.

Eve stayed hidden for a minute as Cameron took an aim at one of the guys and after a few tries she managed to hit him right below the hips, knocking the contender down.

Fire came from all directions and as Ivan took a time out to hide under a different spot he caught Eve's glance, who put a hand over her chest in relief as she saw him successfully switch positions without catching any bullets.

Ivan couldn't help but frown a little at Genevieve's behavior, she seemed a little too over the edge and it wasn't anything like her.

Then again, she avoided his gaze and shot rather quickly and even when she aimed at one of the guys legs, the attacker also managed to hurt Eve as one, single bullet, grazed her shoulder.

Cameron instinctively protected her friend, aiming perfectly at the remaining rival fearlessly. Once the coast was clear, the grey haired girl ran over to the leader of The Circle quite disturbed.

Ivan had never saw Cameron that agitated for someone, she kneeled to the girl and inspected the wound. As crazy as it sounded, his friend seemed almost at the verge of tears, which was really rare in a person like her.

"Oh god, Eve! I told you this was dangerous, fuck. You're lucky it only grazed your bloody arm. What were you thinking?! You know how dangerous this is for you!"

Eve looked over at Ivan from the corner of the eye and Cameron knew this specific discussion would have to be put on hold. At least for the moment.

Both females stayed silent as Ivan came close, and took out Eve's arm to inspect the severity of the wound.

The boy sighed "He flee, but we need to go back to take care of that" His partner nodded, Eve hissed slightly as the burning pain, ran through her limb.

"Let's go!" Ivan commanded and everyone complied, as he was driving, he noticed how hard was Eve trying to fight, the burning sensation.

A few droplets of blood drained in between her fingers and Cameron was talking to her, trying to keep her mind off things.

The girl was quickly attended as they arrived to the quarters, the doctor asked for privacy as he worked so Ivan took this as an opportunity to discover what was really going on with the girl he loved but seemed distant with him.

So he started carefully looking around the room, making sure to keep everything in place, just as he was about to give up on his search he went to the night table close to the bed.

What was odd was that this, was locked. He couldn't help but frown, she never locked the drawers, what would she have on there?

Ivan grabbed the little box where she kept all the keys, after a few tries, he got the right key, and this time the drawer did open.

But there was nothing, just a few books, he moved them to the side and noticed a small, leather blue notebook.

When he pulled it up he noticed something he hadn't really remember to see before.

It was a few folded white papers, even then he realized they were printed as the ink could be seen through the other side of the thin material.

He reached out for them and sat on the bed as he unfolded them softly. Blood test? When had she done this?

So many other questions rounded his mind and his heart pounded nonstop and he kept reading.

Suddenly Ivan's mind swirled, knowing the medical symbology basically said Genevieve was about four weeks pregnant.

Taking a wild guess, the combat leader figure it had been a while since this, maybe a week or two.
Which meant with about a month pregnant Eve still went to meet up with Flynn and got shot then. That's when he understood why Cam seemed so concerned back there.

His child could've died back there and she could too, anger ran through his veins as he realized that even when Eve knew what was at stake, what she was putting on the line.

She still decided to go back there.

"Ivan?" He heard the mother of his child say, he looked up at her with watery eyes.

"You... you knew you were pregnant and still went out there" He gritted to his teeth "For fuck's sake Genevieve! You even had the audacity to hide it from me and make Cam part of this!"
