A Bad Day

I walked to Hope and Freya. a group of guys were paying the saxophon. the coffin was nicely decorated and on a carriage in front of us. Behind us were people standing. 

I gave her a soft smile "hey Hope"

She hugged me  "Hey Riri"

I let go of her and hugged Freya.

Hope "where's dad?"

Me "He'll be here soon. He's waiting on Ivy to help him with the astral projection"

She nodded"and everyone else?"

Freya "Where's Marcel?"

Me "He's busy"

I looked around "oh hey, see, there's Josh"

We looked at him. He gave us a little wink.

Hope "what about Declan?"

Freya didn't answer.

Hope "please tell me someone told Declan"

Freya "He's in Ireland. I-I was so focused on everyone else-"

Hope "oh my god Freya"

Freya "I'll fix it"

Suddenly the march started. We all started to slowly walk down the street.

Hope "this is all wrong"

Freya and i looked at her confused.

Hope "she didn't even know all these people"

Freya "your mom made a mark on this city. Everyone's here to honor her"

Hope "but where are all her friends?"

Suddenly my phone rang. Hope and Freya started to walk ahead of me.

I answered "what the hell is taking you so long, Marcel?"

Marcel "it's taking longer than expected. Cover for us"

Me "cover for you? are you serious?"

I hung up and looked at Hope. She was looking around. Her heartbeat started to raise.

I raised an eyebrow.

Suddenly a black van parked in front of us. The doors opened but a black cloth covered us from seeing inside.Another van parked behind us. 

Josh walked over there and shoved the cloth to the side. 3 guys were sitting in the van and they began to talk to Josh. 

I ran to Hope and put an arm around her.

I looked around and looked at Freya who was as shocked as i was. 

I turned back to the van.

Suddenly the Emmett took the cloth on the ground away and showed us crossbows filled with stakes.

Emmett "We're not going anywhere till they're returned to us safety"

I looked around again and saw Nik standing there. I shot him a look and he nodded. Then he disappeared.

Freya ran to us "we gotta go"

Hope shook her head  "no, this already sucks enough. Look, i'm not gonna let them ruin it more"

Suddenly she shoved Freya and me to the sidewalk per magic.

Hope suddenly set the first van on fire.

I yelled "Hope!"

Then she turned to the other one.

Emmett aimed the crossbow at her.

I speeded to her, grabbed her and speeded her away.

Home.

I speeded her into her room and let go of her.

Me "what were you thinking?"

She started to look through her books.

Me "Hope!"

Suddenly Nik showed up. Well it wasn't really him so.

Nik "Hope!"

She looked at him "go away"

then she looked back through the books.

Nik "there's no magic that can fix this"

Hope "i said leave"

Nik pleaded "please, don't push me away"

Hope "you deserted me."

He froze.

Hope "you left me all by myself when you promised me you would be there."

Nik "i wanted to be there. I only just found out how dnagerous this is. I could kill you and Ariana"

My eyes widened.

Hope cried out yelling "then let me die!"

I looked at her surprised.

Hope sobbed "my mom is dead. She's dead. and it's my fault. and i need more than some half version of you. I can't do this. Dad, i can't do this anymore. I can't live like this. I don't want to live like this anymore?"

Nik pleaded "please don't say that.

Hope "you need to go"

Nikshook his head, tears rikkkubg down his cheeks.

Hope then made him disappear with magic.

I looked down "Hope"

Hope shook her head"Ariana, please"

I nodded "okay."
