A/N: I'm letting Kate steal some lines of Veronica in this chapter, so if you're like wtf Veronica said that, y'all know whats going on :)

Sweet Pea's brows lifted upwards as the doors of Riverdale High were pushed open by Jughead. He immediately saw the group of Northsiders standing by a table, which he assumed was the too preppy introduction to their school. He shared a glance with Fangs as they walked through the hallway, the walls and the floor looking way cleaner, way more educational already and they were barely five minutes inside. The Southsiders had gotten the message this morning that their school was closing and the Serpents didn't mind one bit, especially Sweet Pea didn't. He wanted to graduate this year and he needed proper education for that. Seems like it was finally going to happen, however he did need to accept the Northsiders in his direct environment, which was quite a thing every once in a while. His jaw clenched as the dark haired girl looked up, Archie Andrews right next to her.

His eyes slightly widened as the Serpents stood in front of their table, briefly traveling up to meet Sweet Pea's dark brown ones, as if he forgot how tall the Serpent was. Sweet Pea kept his eyes on the redhead before drifting over to Veronica, yet she didn't speak up yet and it made him wonder where Kate was. Maybe she still had class. "Friends". Veronica started, the fake smile curling her lips that made him dig his nails into his palm. "On the behalf of the students and the faculty here at Riverdale High, welcome to your new school". She continued, her hands folded over each other, looking rather relaxed, while Archie next to her kept looking around. Sweet Pea looked over at the boy in the blue sweater, who was just watching it all. "To ease this transition, they've set up a registration desk where you can get your locker assignment...". Veronica's hand tapped down on the table with the named papers.

"schedules, and a list of extracurriculars. We courage each and everyone of you to drink deeply from the cup that is fair Riverdale". Sweet Pea cringed a bit at her choice of words, looking down at the files on the table. His eyes shot up upwards as he recognized the blonde walking through the hallway. The smile on her lips made his heartbeat quicken and the way the pink skirt swayed around her hips left his mouth slightly agape. Veronica paused as Kate moved passed her, easily blending in with the group of Serpents, even though she was wearing such colourful clothes in comparison to the Southsiders. Her dark eyes watched how Sweet Pea's arm curled around her, his hand resting on her waist as she leaned into his chest. "As soon as I saw you, I didn't hear a damn thing she said, baby girl". His lips brushed over her ear and Kate giggled softly, letting him kiss her cheek before looking back at Veronica. The Lodge girl was visibly a bit irritated, but ignored the rest to continue.

"Stand down, Eva Peron". Cheryl's sharp tone was easily audible for everyone as the redhead marched down the stairs, Reggie and some others on her heels. Veronica rolled her eyes and looked at Jughead before turning to Cheryl. "There is the school spirit I so fondly remember". Jughead gritted through his teeth and it made Toni look over at Kate for a moment. "Cheryl, no one invited fascist barbie to the party". Veronica bit. "Wrong, Veronica. No one invited Southside scum to our school". She stated, crossing her arms over her chest. Kate could see that Toni was already having a hard time controling herself. She looked up at Sweet Pea as she saw his eyes hardening, his grip on her waist tightening. "Listen up, ragamuffins. I will not allow Riverdale's above average GPA to suffer because of classrooms that are overcrowded with underachievers. So please, do us all a favor and find some other school to debase with your hardscrabble ways".

"Why don't you come over here and say that to my face?". Toni breathed, stepping passed the table, ready to swing her fist at Cheryl's face. "Happily, queen of the Buskers". Cheryl snarled back. "Okay, guys. Everyone". Archie spoke up for the first time since the Southsiders were here and got between Toni and Cheryl. "Can we just put our Northside-Southside differences apart and start over? A new slate?". Reggie's face scrunched up in disgust at what he said. "You don't speak for the Bulldogs, Andrews. And need I remind you, these greaser-snakes showed up at your place to kick your ass". Kate felt Sweet Pea stirring at what he said, his hand leaving her waist and pushing her behind him. "Happy to finish what we started". Kate pushed herself through the Serpents, her hand on Sweet Pea's chest holding him back as he was fuming. "I'm so over this toxic masculinity in this hallway right now". Her finger pointing at both of them.
