To all readers,

I'm so sorry if you get annoyed reading this chapter because there's going to be lots of Yoruba in this chapter. I'm going to translate the text for you to understand. Bear with me.

The habit of criticism is getting worse day by day. I understand that you may not like the person style of writing, but C'mon! There's a level to everything.

You guys have to believe in yourself. If you love writing, then go for it. Don't let people's words weigh you down. Your first book may not be good but perfection doesn't happen at once, it comes with patience and practice. This is directed to everyone.
So believe in YOURSELF.

I feel like an adult....... Hahha.
Seriously, we need to believe in ourselves.

"What?" Richard asked dumbfounded.

"Are you deaf ?" John asked in anger.

"You wouldn't dare",  Titi said in a fright.

"I think I should go first", John said grabbing her by the hair.

"Mo fi olorun oba be e", Titi  pleaded.

"I beg you in the name of God".

" Don't move", John shouted in annoyance as he slapped her face.

"Leave me please, just kill me", Titi said in a sob.

"Since you want to be stubborn, the whole team us going to rape you", he said ripping her dress.

One after the other, they raped her forcefully causing her to bleed. Tears ran free from her eyes, she swore as she lay helpless on the ground.

"Eni ni simi te ma fi ku", she said in a wail.

"You won't have peace of mind till you die".

"Talk all you want", John said kicking her. "Why don't you call your lover".

"Stop!" She screamed in pain.

"You really won't stop, I'll make you shut up.  You all, continue with the rape".

"My God will judge you ", she said weakly.

"I hear that a lot from you negros. Where is the God that you keep ranting about? Why can't he come to save you all from this? " John said in a chuckle.

"Why do you keep doing this ?" Titi asked with tears.

"You blacks are easily fooled", he said with a laugh.

"Eni jere laye yin. E ma ku iku iya. E no more idunnu laye yin", she cursed holding her left breast.

"You won't reap anything good. You will die a painful death. You won't know happiness in your life".

"You never learn. Tie her to the tree now", John ordered.

"Leave me. What are you doing ?" She asked screaming.

While they tied her to the tree. She closed her eyes and prayed silently for death. She knew she was going to get killed any moment from now.

Raising his hand to signify when the soldiers are going to shoot. Satisfied with the look of fear on her face, he dropped his hand.

Seeing them pull the trigger, she let the tears fall.

Shocked at the death of her dear friend, Abike covered her mouth with her hand, trying to hold back a sob.

Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain by her waist. She tried soothing her stomach but it was of no use. She knew that the baby was about to be delivered.

Slowly, she started to push. Tears escaped from her eyes as she continued to moan in pain. She continued to push harder, squeezing her hands tightly to the ground, she continued to push. Losing all her strength, she threw her head back and let out a cry. She looked down to see her stained clothe, she closed her eyes as she continued to push.

"Baami, se e gbo nnkan ti mo gbo?" Ogumyemi asked his father.

"Father, did you hear that sound?"

"Se won bo ni?" Ogunkanmi asked his son.

"Are they coming?"

"No, it sounds like the cry of a woman", Ogumyemi answered his father.

"Ewo! You can never enter a lion's den and come out alive. It's too risky, a lot of things are happening out here", Ogunkanmi said.

"What about maami's words?" Ogumyemi asked in tears.

***

Crying out in anguish, she kept on pushing. She was afraid of losing her child, she was so weak, her body trembled.

"Ta ni e?" Ogunkanmi asked.

"Who are you?"

Sighting a woman in pain, he wondered what she was doing. He continued to take a step towards her.

"Who are you?" He asked stuttering.

"Please don't kill me ", Abike please.

"I'm not here to harm you ", he said when he noticed her giving birth.
"What do you need?"

"I need water, a clothe and knife", Abike said weakly.

She looks so weak.

"Ogumyemi,  wait here while I get the items", he said.

"Yes father ", Ogumyemi said.

Pushing harder, she felt better with someone by her side. She followed Ogumyemi's instructions explaining that he used to he watch his mum help other women to conceive. Rubbing the top of her stomach, he continued to give instructions. With a final push, the baby came out and after some minutes, the after birth came out. Carrying the baby, tears of joy spilled from her eyes as she watched her son cry.

"It's here", Ogunkanmi said running towards her.

Taking the knife, she cut off the placenta and washed the baby thoroughly .

"Let me assist you ", Ogunkanmi offered.

"No. Thank you", Abike said wrapping the baby.

"What's the baby's name?"  Ogumyemi asked with a smile.

Taking a look at the baby, Abike said with a sad smile, "Ireoluwa".

Let's use two minutes of our time to blahh blahhh blahhh. Sadly, John, Eddy, Abike and Titi were never the main character. Ire is the main character.

I'm sorry if you wanted them to be the main character, but everything happens for a purpose right? The good news is, it's going to get beetttttter.

In the past, it was a superstition that when a woman holds her left breast while cursing, it eventually happens. Which explains why Titi held her left breast in this chapter. Such!
