Chapter 1

* Leah's POV *

" Leah, your moving in with Ryan " my mother called out

"When?" I simply replied.

I know this sounds bad but I could wait to get away from my parents. I couldn't handle their constant arguing anymore. And the abuse. 

" He's picking you up in 30 minutes, go pack your bags "

* after packing *

I looked down at my overflowing suitcase and a silent tear dripped down my face. I might get away from him now... for good.

" HES HERE " I heard my dad violently scream
out.

I sighed and walked downstairs with my heavy suitcase. Ryan didn't stay long, he just came in and asked me how I've been, then we left hand in hand .I breathed out a sigh of relief as soon as I stepped out the door.

" Been holding that in? " my brother laughed whilst putting my suitcase in the car.

" You were the same when you left " I stated as I got in the passenger seat of his car.

" By the way " he said whilst getting in the drivers seat " We will be living with someone else too "

I thought he lived by himself? " with who? " I politely asked, not trying to sound rude

" Shawn Mendes " he stated as he began to drive

I gulped. No. It can't be. I knew he moved away and I thought I was free of him. What if he is the same as he was 3 years ago I questioned myself. What if he makes my life hell again just as I thought it would get better

" O-okay.." I stuttered

* at Ryan and Shawn's house *

I stepped out of the car cautiously, expecting Shawn to jump out at me anytime. I looked at my brother walking in front of me and then knocking at the door. Please don't let Shawn open it. He did. Ryan walked straight passed Shawn and I was left standing at the door, looking up at him

* Shawn's POV *

This can't be her can it? She's changed so much, she's beautiful. I realised she was staring at me

" Take a picture " I grinned

" haven't changed a bit have you? " I heard her mumble as she brushed passed me
