CHAPTER 8: PLAYBOY

JENNIE'S POV
I don't think I can just call him oppa or be more informal. We barely know each other, and I don't want to get in trouble for being too formal with BTS.

"Ani, I don't think I can do that. Mianhe. I just really don't feel comfortable with that," I explain to him.

Taehyung-sunbae starts to think and asks, "Then what can I do to make you feel more comfortable?"

"Sunbae, there's really nothing you can do. I mean, we just met, and we don't really know each other, and it is a very sudden request."

"Then that's it! It's because we don't know each other well enough. So that means we just need to get to know each other more! Give me your phone," He suddenly demands.

I don't know why but all of a sudden I found myself grabbing my phone out of my pocket and handing it to Taehyung-sunbae. Why am I just doing these things and not even questioning him? He told me to unlock my phone, and I did.

He hands me my phone back and says, "Here you go! I saved my number under Taehyung OPPA. Not Sunbae. OPPA! Okay? I also sent myself a text so that I have your number too Jendeukkie."

I immediately looked through my messages and saw his number at the top of my message list. This guy is crazy. He can't just add his number like that!

"Is this what you do? Go up to girls, ask for their phones, and you just add your number? Is Jungkook-sunbae really the 'International Playboy' or is it you?" I glare at him.

"ANI! Jungkook is the 'International Playboy' for sure!" He denies.

I turn around and just ignore him and continue to shop for more snacks. I noticed that he was following me.

"Jennie-shi, I'm serious when I say I'm not a playboy."

I turn around and say, "Taehyung-sunbae, I don't really care."

It's true. I don't really care, because I won't be texting him at all.

"You don't? So you don't care if I talk to other girls?"

"Why would I care? We don't even know each other like that. We officially met today."

"But I care if you talk to other guys," He says. Which shocks me. Is this guy for real right now? Is he that straightforward? We don't know each other!

"Stop saying stuff like that. I don't know why you're even talking to me. I'm just Jennie Kim from BLACKPINK, and we're just trying to get through our promotions, and we're really busy, sunbae. Please don't say stuff like that," I practically beg him.

"Mianhe Jennie-shi. I'm sure you're really stressed with your current promotions, but I'm sure you can still have friends, right? I mean, I saw in your text messages that you text Mino, and you even have him under 'Mino Oppa.' So if you have time to text him, then you have time to text me and be friends with me, right?" He says while he pouts.

"That's different. We're in the same agency and grew up together in YG. There's a reason why we text each other, and I can call him oppa," I explain.

Why am I even explaining this to him? This is really getting annoying. I want to just walk away from him, but he's relentless.

TAEHYUNG'S POV
Jennie is adorable when she's annoyed. I'm not going to lie anymore. After officially meeting her, I know that I want to be friends with her and get to know her. I also know it's not just the friendship I want from her. I know I'm moving too fast but I've also never felt this way before. I've been in relationships before, but this is the first time I'm actually trying to chase someone. With Jennie, I feel like it will be an actual chase and will take a lot of convincing when it comes to being friends.

"I saw you went out with iKon and WINNER," I said to Jennie.

"Yea and?"

"Well, what about BTS? We can treat you guys too! We can get chicken or whatever you guys like," I tell Jennie.

Instead of hearing a reply from Jennie, I heard Rosé reply, "Really? You guys will treat us?"

"Of course! What do you want to eat, Rosé?"

Jungkook was there too, and I noticed the rest of the members started walking toward us.

"Since we ate chicken last week, I want to eat BBQ this time."

"Wait, hyung, are we really going to treat BLACKPINK out? Cuz if we are, are you paying?" Jungkook smirks.

"Well since it's my idea then I'll pay. Jennie-shi, it looks like Rosé-shi wants to go. You should tell the rest of your members too," I tell Jennie.

"Ya! Rosé are you crazy!? We can't just go eat with them!" Jennie yells at Rosé.

"But unnie! It's free food! We went with iKon and WINNER last time, so why can't we go with BTS this time?"

"iKon and WINNER are our sunbaes from the same company! It's not the same if we go out with BTS," Jennie explains to Rosé.

I see Namjoon hyung staring at me like I'm out of my mind. I know I'm getting a lecture from him when we return to the dorm.

"We know some low-key Korean BBQ restaurants. We can make sure that nobody's there. Actually, Jin-hyung owns one. Jin-hyung, can't we just go to your restaurant and make sure that nobody's there and only have your most trusted employees working?" Jungkook said. He's the Golden Maknae for a reason.

"Of course! It's probably easier if we go to my restaurant. There's also a back way that nobody can access except idols who want to eat there. So it should be safe for us to go there," Jin replies.

"Daebak! We're going to eat with BLACKPINK!" Suga hyung says.

"Wait, I haven't agreed to this. I still don't think this is a good idea, and it's not fair that Rosé is here to decide because she says yes to anything that involves food," Jennie says.

"Ya! Unnie, that's not true! I only agree to good food," Rosé smirks at Jennie.

"How about you guys call the other members right now and make them vote too? If they say yes, then we all go. If they say no, then we don't," I suggest to Jennie and Rosé.

"Good idea! I'll call Jisoo unnie right now!"

Rosé calls Jisoo.

"Jisoo unnie, do you think we should go eat with BTS-sunbaes? I don't want to get in trouble," Jennie says to Jisoo over the phone.

"Well, they did say that it would be private. No one will be there, and only the trusted staff members will be there. I'm not going to lie. I am a little worried. But if Jin-sunbae says that it's going to be private, then I don't think it will hurt to have a meal with them," Jisoo says.

I smirk at Jennie feeling like I've won a perfect battle.

"Fine!" Jennie says with a pout. Ottoke! She's so cute! 

"WOW! This is really happening?" J-hope hyung says.

"Yeap! Thanks to me!" I say to the members.

Namjoon hyung got a call from our manager asking us to return to the dorm because it was getting late. So I had to say goodbye to the BLACKPINK girls. I can tell that Rosé and I will be excellent friends. She seems to really like the idea that I'm pursuing Jennie. Just in case, though, I gave Rosé my number so that I can check up on Jennie.

"Wait, why are you giving her your number, hyung?" Jungkook asks me.

"Just in case Jennie doesn't reply to me," I explain to Jungkook.

"Then Rosé have my number too! Here!" Jungkook gave Rosé his number and asked her to text her immediately, so he knew it was her. I'm pretty sure he just wanted to have her number.

I walked toward Jennie again before leaving and said, "It was nice to finally meet you, Jennie-shi. I hope the next time we meet you can call me Oppa instead. Annyeong."
