CHAPTER 20: POPULAR

JENNIE'S POV
It's been about 2-3 weeks since BTS started their world tour. Lisa, Jisoo, and Rosé are in New York Fashion Week right now. Meanwhile, I'm currently preparing a music video with Mino oppa. Mino oppa is releasing a solo album and has been working on our trio collaboration too. Mino oppa has been very busy because he has two projects. He asked me a few weeks ago to feature in his solo album since we're already working together in the studio so much.

I'm really excited for his solo album. I've always been so jealous of him because he comes up with some very witty rap lyrics. What people don't know is that I will be featuring in Mino oppa's new song from his first solo album. The reason why I couldn't attend NYFW is because we've been recording for Mino oppa's new music video. It's a surprise. Even Taehyung oppa doesn't know about it. We've been keeping it a secret but I've seen on social media that some people are predicting that I'm working with Mino oppa for his album because Mino oppa had to skip a WINNER event and I had to skip NYFW.

It's been a hectic week and I haven't been on social media for awhile now. So when Taehyung oppa noticed that I haven't been on social media, he kept asking me what was wrong. I always replied with nothing, because nothing seriously was wrong. He asked me too why I'm not participating in NYFW, but I told him it's because of my collaboration with Mino oppa and Bobby oppa. I've basically been lying to him, but at the same time I feel like it's important to keep this as a surprise. Taehyung oppa doesn't believe me though.

Jennie-ah, what are you doing today? It looks like Jisoo, Rose, and Lisa are having fun at NYFW.

Just going to record some more with Bobby oppa and Mino oppa.

Taehyung Oppa
When are you going to tell me the truth?

What do you mean?

I know you're hiding something. I'm just not sure why and what it is.

I decided to ignore his message. He's been pretty consistent with calling me out on my "lies". He thinks that something big and something wrong is happening to me right now and that's why I'm not with Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo unnie. I'm sure he's just looking out for me, but it's really not a big deal.

"Jennie, it's time to go to the location for the music video," manager oppa said to me.

We were on our way to the location spot for the music video, and I saw Bobby oppa at the set with Seungri oppa. They're going to cameo in the music video even though they're not in the song. We think it'll be more fun this way.

"Jennie, are you sad that you can't attend NYFW?" Seungri oppa asked me.

"Ani. This is more fun for me, and I know I'll be attending the Paris Fashion Week anyway."

Everyone's been really worried about me not being able to attend NYFW. Mino oppa feels really bad about it, but I told him that it's really not a big deal. I honestly am more excited about this music video.

"We should go out for dinner after tonight's shoot," Bobby oppa said.

"Yes! Let's get bbq please?" I said to them.

"Arasso! My treat!" Seungri oppa said.

Mino oppa appeared and told us what to do next and we filmed for about 4 hours. The concept of this video is pretty sexy. Mino oppa and I had to act like lovers in certain scenes which makes us just laugh. It's hard to keep a straight face during scenes where we had to act sexy and serious. Seungri oppa also wouldn't stop teasing us so sometimes it would get awkward between me and Mino oppa.
