Chapter 45

Victoria's P.O.V

My mind was in a coma for a good amount of time before I managed to grasp what was going on but no matter how hard i tried I still could not comprehend what was happening here.

How the hell is that man Jonathan's father

before I could think a second thought he spoke

"Whose blood is that" the man questioned Jonathan with a hint of suspicion

"Anastasia probably played with him a little" Edgar's supposed brother said with a smirk

Out of nowhere came the sound of footsteps 

very rapid footsteps 

from the sound of it, one person seemed to be approaching

This distracted the two men for a moment, giving me just enough time to completely untie Edgar.

But my heart dropped to the floor when I a panting Amy approaching

"No" my voice was barely a whisper as it left my lips 

her steps soon faltered as she came face to face with  Jonathan and the old man

"what have you done to Victoria" she screamed out as she saw the blood

"Well hello there" Jonathan exclaimed making steady steps towards her

She responded in disdain retreating in the opposite direction with every step he took

"NOW"

the air was mixed with confusion for a second

But Jonathan wasted no time in pulling out the gun perched in jeans and shot her in the stomach just as a fast as he had whipped out his gun and shoot it was returned to him as a bullet penetrated his leg and he fell to the floor groaning in pain.

A brigade of men flooded the scene all pointing their guns towards the two men

I ran towards Amy at lightning speed, completely disregarding my surroundings

Next thing I knew I was grabbed by the old man and I could feel the cold metal pressed against my temple as he seemingly prepared to blow my brains out.

but I knew he wouldn't 

he needed me to get to the locket

I immediately start brainstorming a way out of his grip 

he was a little old but the bastard was stronger than I thought

"Game over boys" he said with a menacing grinch like smile

"Finally things are falling into place, do you know how much I've longed for this moment to be a reality" he spat out a threatening laugh

One of the men made a move to shoot but was warned

"Not a single person moves or.....she dies" he said jamming the gun a little to my head

"Well it's been a pleasure meeting you all but I'm afraid I must be on my way" he casually bids farewell while making his way towards the exit

"YOU OLD BASTARD ARE YOU JUST GONNA LEAVE ME TO DIE!!"  Jonathan piped up

"Well son, desperate time call for desperate measures.......you understand that of all people don't you"

Jonathan looks at him for a moment dumfounded

then he does something completely unexpected he starts laughing very low tone
