"What the f**k is this sarpanch ji talking about. Of course it's only me who has the right to become her groom..........I will also see who has the guts to come and marry my Nandini" thought Manik.
"Ye aap kya bol rahe ho sarpanch ji, bitiya to Manik se hi shaadhi karegi naa. Vo hi to hain uska pathi" said the Sarpanch's wife from beside him.
"Thank you bhaghwaan yaha kisiko to akal diya aapne" thought Manik and smiled at the lady. "Par pathni ji, Nandini bitiya to keh rahi hain ki uski shaadhi Manik se nahi hui. To iska matlab vo kisi aur se bhi shaadhi kar sakthi hain" said the sarpanch.
Manik was giving the sarpanch what-the-f**k-is-he-talking look. He just wanted to grab his Nandini and run away from the village. But what can he do, still his health was not in any condition to run with his wife.
While Manik was busy with his thoughts the Sarpanch started to laugh. "Achcha achcha, mujh par daya karke mujhe marne ka iradha chod do Manik beta. Nandini ki shaadhi to tum se hi hogi. Main to bas mazak kar raha hoon" said the Sarpanch with a smile patting Manik on his shoulder.
Hearing this Manik just let out a breathe of sigh. "To ye tay hua, Manik aur Nandini ki shaadhi hamari gaanv ke pure rithi riwaz ke sath hogi" said the sarpanch.
"Oh God.......Nandini to pehli bar shaadhi Appa aur Amma keliye kya tha, par ab.........kya ye manegi iss keliye. If by any chance Manik Malhotra doesn't stay alive tomorrow, then Ladies and Gentlemen all the credits go to your's truly Nandini Manik Malhotra........." he thought in his mind and closed his eyes.
"Lagtha hain Manik ji sharmaa rahe hain" said one of the ladies from the crowd. "Aunty ji jab Nandini ko hosh ayega naa tab pata chalega ki ye sharmane ki redness hain ya darne ki........" thought Manik looking towards the direction of the voice.
"Manik beta Nandini ko kutil mein leke jaa beta, lagtha hain usse needh aa raha hain" said the sarpanch's wife to which Manik saw that Nandini was about to faint.
He immediately ran towards her and caught her from falling and with that he picked her up in his arms. All the people of the village were blessing them. Manik with Nandini in his arms moved towards the hut which was given for them for their temporary stay.
Manik went to the cot and placed her on it and made sure that she was comfortable in the cot. With that he moved towards the window and was looking at the moon, which was in the process of becoming a full moon in just two more nights.
"How am I going to tell this to Nandini..........that she was the one who wanted this to happen tomorrow morning" he thought when suddenly he heard a sound and turned around to see what was it.
Nandini who was acting as if she was about to fall asleep cause all the people around her talking without her, slowly got up as soon as Manik started to walk towards the window. She tiptoed herself towards the door and slowly she started to close the door making sure that it didn't make any creaking sound and she locked it.
Manik was stunned to see Nandini awake and that to on seeing her closing the door. After closing the door Nandini faced Manik and showed him the keys of the hut door.
Manik was looking at her every action didn't know what she was doing. But after showing the keys to him she immediately put the keys inside her saree blouse.
"Hey Nandini..........kar kya rahi ho tum" he asked her to which she just gave him a smug smile. He then ran towards her and moved his hands towards her chest but he immediately stopped himself.
