"Come on Ladies, faster!" I shouted, as the recruits ran in and out of turned over tires, before crawling under barbed wire, all while holding a rifle and their rucksack. "It's not hard, pick up the pace" I said clapping my hands trying to get them to put more effort into it. I seen Steve at the back of the pack, struggling to get his feet out of the tires.

The rest of the men were already starting to crawl thorough the mud when Steve's shoe got caught on the inside of the last tire, causing him to fall flat on his face.

What could this guy even do? He'd probably die if a mosquito bit him. I looked at him apologetically, because that's exactly what Allison would do, Alyona would probably just kill him to put him out of his misery. Steve stood up, just to be straight back down on the floor, clutching his rifle in front of him as he began to crawl. Hodge was in front of him, when he kicked his back leg out to hit the post holding up the wire, causing it to fall.

I quickly rolled my eyes, as Steve managed to push through the fallen tangled of wire, standing next to all the other soldiers and me at the end of the course, very out of breath. "You got asthma or something?" Hodge says, sneering down at Rogers. Steve doesn't reply, still trying to get his breath steady again. "Oi, Hodge, you got manners or anything? You clearly didn't when you kicked down that post, incase you haven't realised we are all fighting the same enemy not each other" I shouted at him, my hands sitting on the waist line of my green trousers, which were accompanied by a pale green T-shirt, black boots tied to my feet.

"So how about you go and fix that post huh?" I said to him fiercely, tilting my head to the side with a small smile playing on my lips. He sulks away back under the wire, placing the post back into the mud. The rest of the guys jeer him on, making fun of the fact that i just told him off. Steve smiles appreciably at me, now that he had caught his breath. I smiled back, shooting him a wink before addressing the rest of the men again.

"You ladies did terrible by the way, let's hope you do better on the run" I said turning on my heel and walking away from them, I turned around to see that they were all still standing in their spots. I rolled my eyes and whistled at them quickly, catching their attention and telling them to follow me.

!

"How do you expect to win the war running at this pace" I said turning around and running backwards to talk to the men. They had their full kit on, which was immensely hot and sweat especially in this sun. "Pick up the pace!" I shouted turning around again as we came to a bend, seeing the car that Peggy must of been driving and the flag pole.

I ran to the side of the group, spying who was at the back of the pack, their feet out of pace compared to everyone else. To no surprise it was Steve, struggling to keep his bag in place to make it easier to run. "You only run as fast as your slowest man" I boomed out letting everyone know that Steve wasn't keeping up with them. "Not when he runs like a girl" I heard Hodge say to a few of the men, causing them to laugh.

"Well this girl could beat you in a fight any day, so don't you dare try me" I shouted once more before turning to Steve. "I'm alright, I'm fine" he reassured me, waving his hand telling me not to approach him. "You sure, you seen like you're about to die" I said with a small chuckle.

He shook his head as we reached the flag pole, which indicated the half way point. Peggy turned around and waved at me, placing one arm on the passenger seat, turning to look at us all. "Halt!" I shouted, causing all of the men to stop in their tracks. "This flag represents the half way point, now for the fun part, if you can get that flag down you'll get a ride back with Agent Carter over there" I continued, before I even finished my sentence, all attempting to climb the metal pole.

I walked over to Peggy's car, leaning on the back of it. "Come on Hodge, get up there then" I taunted him. "You want to switch then?" Peggy asked me jokingly. "I'm perfectly okay thanks" I replied with a chuckle, not even remotely out of breath. Steve hadn't attempted to get the flag, doubled over with his hands on his knees trying to catch his breath. "Right, I've seen enough of you lot struggling to last me a life time now, fall back in line" I shouted to them, watching them all walk back to the path.

Steve hung around near the pole causing me to look at him interestingly. He reached down at the bottom of the pole, pulling out the pin that caused the pole to fall to the ground with a massive thump.

He threw the pins to the side of him, walking to the end of the pole, pending down to pick up the flag. I scoffed jokingly, pacing my hands onto my hips. He walked up to me holding out the flag. "Agent" he said nodding his head quickly at me.

I grabbed the flag, holding it in my hand as Steve climbed into the car with Peggy. She smiled at Steve before looking at me, I raised my eyebrows with a smile before shouting at the men once more. "If you lot had a brain maybe you wouldn't be running back but here we are" I said holding up the flag to let them see.

"Now start running" I said as they began to run completely in unison, I followed them at the back, shouting insults at them every so often. As I always should, it was my job.

Maybe he wasn't as stupid as I had assumed he would be, but I could have scaled that pole easily.
