Only You

Riley P.O.V

I put my lyrics in front of me and breathe.
A guitarist and drummer come up to me and the DJ.
"Hey you must be Riley. I'm Jake this is Marco the drummer and Blaze our DJ and we're gonna he helping you with recording and prepping you for tonight" he says shakes my hand.

"Okay well, yes I'm Riley and I have my lyrics in front of me right here. I'm going to sing them and tell you guys how I want the beat to sound.. okay?" I say getting ready.
"Okay." They all say in agreement.

I pick one my favorite songs I wrote called
Forget Forever. We practice for a few hours the songs I wrote and they wrote and record and demo.

"Here" they hand me my cd. I smile wide
"Thank you so much" I smile. And take the demo and head out the studio. I sit on the couch. Cash is in his studio still doing his thing. I FaceTime Audrey

"Hey!" She says
I smile "Guess what!" I say quietly
"Why are you so quiet?" She whispers into her mic
"Because I have a demo of my own songs and some Cash wrote and I'm in a studio with him and I'm performing with him tonight!" I say excited
"Oh my god!" She says loud and I turn my volume down quickly
"I know right!" I say. I show her my view of the studio and then back at me.
"Cool huh?" I say
I heard Cash close the door
"Hey I gotta go" I say
"Okay text me!"
"I will"
We say goodbye and hang up.

Cash walks up to me smiling.
"That was fun!" I say, "I have a demo" I show him the cd he looks at it and smiles
"I'm glad you had fun" he says I smile
"Let's go get ready for tonight. It's 5 right now" he says in a rush. I nod. We grab our things and head out the studio.

We head to the parking lot and hop in the car and drive to the House Of Blues. No ones there yet but just the crew. We hop out the car and head inside to meet Ricky.
"Hey kid! Hey Riley" Ricky says, I feel like he doesn't like me half the time cause he seems glad to see Cash but sees me and gives me a certain look that doesn't settle quite good with me but I bite my tongue and don't say anything.

"So the plan is Riley will perform first as an opening act and then you go up" Ricky says,
Cash nods I do too trying to play it cool.
I thought I was just going to watch and then go on with him for some songs we wrote? Okay whatever then. I avoid looking at Cash so I can seem professional.

A lady comes over and takes my hand and leads me to the dressing room where a makeup artist, hair stylist and dresser are awaiting- looking at me. I put my things on the couch and sit down at the mirror.

"Hello Riley! I'm Sarah this is Jamie and Cris and we're gonna get you glitz and glammed up for tonight" they say, I start to feel a little calmer and take a deep breath.
Jen turns my salon stool to face her and starts doing my hair, glueing in extensions and curling my hair. She passes me to Sarah who does my makeup I check It out and am amazed! I gasp in awe at myself. "Wow" I say
"Thank you" I smile and head to Cris
He hands me a white outfit and tells me to try it on. I head behind the Curtain and change into it walking out showing them, they all smile and high five.

I gush "Thank you guys!" I say.
I check the time and it's 7:30 a few minutes before I have to go on. I hear Cash's laugh and see him heading towards me I stand up straight and fix my hair in the mirror.
"Baby... look at you" he says and bites his lip, I smile blushing at him. We lean in to kiss but Ricky walks in and ruins it he looks at me.

"Okay Riley follow me" Ricky says, I look at Cash worried and Cash takes my hand and walks with me to the edge of the stage.
"It's almost time babe" Cash whispers in my ear holding me tight. I look at him scared
"Cash" I say my voice shaking, he looks me in the eyes and holds my face in his hands, "Riley you're the most talented, bravest beautiful woman I know. You're so incredible and you can do this. And we're gonna perfume some songs together when I get on stage after you, Okay?" He says calmly, I look him in the eyes and nod smiling a little but still scared.

"Riley they're ready for you"
